Went to Pedestals in the snow

Went to Pedestals in the snow

I think besides Christina at my hall this was the nicest vendor I've dealt with. Pedestals was great. We agreed to go to 2 more places before deceiding on a florist though because I have a bad habit of falling in love with the first place I go to and then being sorry later.
Erin at Pedestals was so accomodating, very friendly and even convinced me not to spend extra money I didn't need. I can't tell you if they are expensive or not because I have nothing to compare them too yet but if no one else impresses me I definetly want to go back. We're gonna make appts. with Flowers by Brian and I think LABlossoms.

We saw a lot of popular florists from this site during our search and we booked with pedestals. They do really great work and their prices are reasonable.

They are a preferred vendor of the Swan Club. How are their rates?? Are they expensive or about the same as other places??

what do people typically pay for flowers? I wouldn't even know what is a good price.

That really depends on what you're looking for. If you are on a budget, you can try to make the CP yourself or use a wholesale vendor. I know that if you give the florists your budget they can work with you. If you read through some of the older posts, I think there is a whole thread on florists and prices.

Pedestals actually came out cheaper for us than some of the other vendors on here. They threw a lot of extras into our package as well.

Re: Went to Pedestals in the snow

FM me if you want the quote we were given because honestly after talking to some other girls here I realized that they are not far off from the rest at all so I don't see them being anymore or anyless than anyone else really but I have seen their work and they are unbelievable. Im secretly hoping no one beats them so I can book with them
This is what my package included though:
Any flowers I want-
1 Bridal Bo-k
1 Throw away
1 MOH Bo-k
4 BM Bo-k
2 corsages for mothers
14 Bout. for the guys/fathers/uncles and ringboys
10pew bows with roses(5 each side)tulle draping between pews with rosepetals
2 alter baskets
15tall centerpieces
1 centerpiece for the dais
I think that's it but I might be missing something. Again any flowers I want to use. I wanted the draping for the ceiling over the dance floor but was told it's over $1,000 to do that so I think we are going to pass.

I booked Pedestals - which is a preferred vendor at JT..I asked a few friends and people I knew who recently got married and they said my quote was really good for the package I got

sometimes it helps to check out your halls preferred vendor because they can be more accomidating w/ the price

I met with Rob who was wonderful

Pedestals is also a preferred vendor with the North Ritz Club. We are going by the list that the hall gave us for vendors and picking out the ones we've heard good things about. We also happened to be looking at the watermill when they were setting up for a wedding with the exact cps that I wanted. Everything looked beautiful. As far as price though I don't think they did much for us because of the hall unfortunetly but they did give me a slight discount because my brother is using them for his wedding at JT in June.

Re: Went to Pedestals in the snow

We used Pedestals for our wedding. But I used the Howard Beach locations since I lived in Queens at the time and it was about 5 minutes away from home. Chateua Briand has Pedestals as a recommended florist.

I cannot begin to tell you how happy I was with my flowers. They listened to what I asked for and they exceeded my expectations that day. I received so many compliments on them. I am horrible with computers and I do not know how to put my review link on here but if you go the the bridal review and look at the one labeled 'My October 10th wedding review w/pics you can see my pictures. They show some flowers in there.

I had my centerpieces made with pumpkins.
All my flowers were roses in fall colors and the pumpkins served as the vase.

I had 20 centerpieces
9 bridesmaid bouquets
1 bridal bouquet
1 maid of honor bouquet which was bigger than the girls.
A basket that I supplied and they filled it with roses for the flower girl and they also attached a bag of rose petals for her to throw.
10 boutenniers for the men
2 more boutineers for the fathers
2 boutineers for uncles
2 corsages for the moms
1 corsage for grandmother
4 corsages for Aunts
2 large baskets of flowers for the church alter
12 bows with flowers for the pews
1 throw away bouquet
They threw in for me a centerpiece for the dais and also scattered rose petals on the dais.

I don't have the paperwork anymore but I believe it cost me around $3,500.
I booked in 2002 so prices could have changed.
It was about 500 less than that but I changed the vases to pumpkins and then it went up 500.
That I definitely remember.

They gave me a lot. As you can see I had a large bridal party. I didn't think it was that bad. They were great to work with and they really did a great job. I was so happy that day. Hope this helps.
