Went to RH tonight - chose our menu & cake!

We met w/ Joe the Banquet Manager at The Swan Club. We were there for nearly 2 hours going over everything! We chose our menu (our entrees will be filet mignon medallions, chicken francaise, salmon, and duck, with a veggie dish available on request) and our cake (marble w/ raspberry filling) and our table linens and all. Joe was a doll to work with! He said he's going to email me descriptions of all our entrees so I can put them on my DIY menus. He gave me the seating chart and the placecards so I can start working on those once the replies start coming in. It all feels so real now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

congrats...all sounds great....we are getting married there too and actually before you so i was wondering, did they contact you or did you ask to come in b/c we have not done this yet....TIA and congrats on all you accomplished

Actually, I had contacted them due to another issue and Joe, the Banquet Manager, had spoken w/ me since Jordana wasn't there. While I was on the phone, he asked if I wanted to set up the meeting to choose everything. He said typically it's done about 6 weeks before so we just went super early! I am sure they'll be calling you soon!

He really is a sweet guy! I had a TON of questions for him. What room are you guys in? We're in the Camelot room and the only thing I don't LOVE is the way the room is set up. We spent alot of time discussing possibly rearranging the tables and stuff. I'm not thrilled w/ their cake options - they can't even do each tier a different flavor/filling - but we decided on a marble cake w/ raspberry filling. As for the shape/style, we chose the square 'crooked' style b/c it is very different looking :) He's gonna have the baker decorate it with fall-colored flowers, so it should be pretty! Have fun today when you meet with him!
