First time went dress shopping yesterday. Went alone because I was in the city in that neighborhood. I wasnt expecting anything but to get some information and to find out if they have dresses in stock that I ripped out of some magazines.
I was amaized how big their selection is. It's a huge warehouse with racks separater by designers. I right away got an assistant to help me. MArylin was awesome, she pulled out just the right things for me, and understood my body type. She was fast, yet courteous. She gave me the right attention, even in their busiest hour, I went at about 6 pm, after work. There was no pressure and I was ale to get all the designers and style numbers right on the tag.
I still need to come back to retry the dresses she put on the list for me, with mom or MOH. Prices were pretty good too. Everything i tried on was $1000 or less. I liked that. :)
Dress above is good for an August or September wedding, that we are planning (no deffinite date yet). I would like to look at some more styles a bit more covered on the arms and sholders, so the rabbi wont frown upon.

Thanks. This is another one I tried on, with just what I am looking for on top.
The second one is my dress!!! It is gorgeous... I love it. I don't think RK had it when I called them. I bought mine from Alisa's Bridal in Brooklyn. P.S. It takes 6 mon. to order. The bottom of it is beautiful. I took pic. and posted them on this site. I am so excited to see my dress posted!!! LOL

Once you decide on a dress make sure to check http://www.bridesave.com to make sure you are getting the best price. I believe RK Bridal will match the price but it has to be done at the time you place your order.

I LOVE the second one.
& you are right about the selection.
Whenever I found a dress I liked & tried to locate it in my area, it was ALWAYS at either RK Bridal or Lestan's.
Since I work in Brooklyn, Lestan's was more convenient, but I told a lot of brides about RK.

Oh, I love #2 it is so beautiful!!
My first trip to RK was by accident. We were in the neighborhood, and in my mind I'll just go look. But, I ended up finding the most beautiful dress there (maggie sottero yvette style) and so shocked to find out it was under $1000. And it came with the Stole and purse. I had been to so many stores at least 10 and this place had more of a selection of what I was looking for than any other place. Good LUck to you!
The woman (can't remember her name) was very helpful and nice. But, when they switched me over to the Lady to get my measurements.....she tried to get me to order a size larger. (I guess in her mind she was thinking I would do my alterations there and charge more for alt. if it didn't fit) I order the smaller size and it fit like a glove!! I was so pissed! She couldn't have been more obvious. I took my Alterations elsewhere to a woman in Huntington. Just be careful!
