My MOH insists on making my shower a surprise. I told her today its impossible with online registeries and everyone peaks. She said 'well after you have everything on yours, just don't peak'. How is that possible? Everyone peaks. Did any of you not peak at your registeries?

I was until we pulled into the driveway of my mom's house & my then FH pointed out my aunts car (he didn't think I knew it was hers) I truly never peaked at my registry

I really wanted to be surprised. One thing you definitely cant help is people accidentally ruining the surprise. It turned out to be lucky for me that someone did ruin the surprise b/c it turned out that half my guests couldnt make it and I told my MOH that the date needed to be changed, otherwise, almost nobody would have been there.

My MIL thought it would be a surprise, but I peaked at the registry ONLY after I found the invite list on her kitchen counter one afternoon.

I didn't peek bc I wanted to be surprised!! I had an inkling of when/where bc I had received an invitation to a 'birthday party', so I suspected but when I walked into the room I was still surprised and overwhelmed!!!

I wanted to be surprised but my Aunt in England called a week before to say a package would be arriving because she couldn't make it to my shower next weekend. I then checked my registry. If I could do it again I wouldn't have checked and drove everyone crazy!!

I wanted to be surprised so towards the end of March I stopped looking at my registries. I had my shower april 1st so it was good that I stopped looking b/c I was surprised!!!

I was totally surprised. I was peeking at my registry in the beginning, but then I was caught so I stopped. I thought my shower was going to be 2 weeks after the date that it was. I liked that I was surprised, it was a great day.

My mom had it March 18 for my July wedding to throw me off. It was such a surprise & so gorgeous at the Stonebridge Country Club

I didn't. I use to a little around the time of my E-party but before my shower I didn't. However I knew about my shower for several reasons. One I could be working that day, two I'm always busy, three I'm always late. So my mom told me to come to her house at a certain time (factoring in how late I usually) and off the the bridal shower I went. In all honest just don't think about it. I wanted to be surprise with what the gave me and I was.

I was surprised. It was the day we came back from my bachelorette party. I 'knew' the date was 2 weeks later, but I was obviously wrong. I stopped looking at the registries as a promise to my mom.

I did NOT peek at my registry but it was STILL not a surprise. I SO WANTED it to be a surprise!People slip, leave the invite out, or in my case - I had RSVPed to a wedding and casually mentioned that I was going to a wedding to my BM and she said 'you can't go, it's your shower.'

Nope...I live out of state so my mom had to tell me the party was for me or else she was afraid I'd make up and excuse and not come...and I was a major peeker but since I had to go up to NY and I stopped looking at my registry on Friday and my shower was on sunday so I had a few suprizes from last minute shoppers

I had a feeling tho anyways. My mom came (she lives upstate) and I kept emailing her, trying to catch her not answering an email b/c I thought she was leaving for the airport...she told me when she got here that I messed her up b/c she was trying to leave and I kept emailing her! But it worked, she had me convinced she was not coming and I was at least surprised to see her!!
