We're back from a 2 week vacation and......

We are preggo!! I still can't believe it. The week before we were to go on vacation I was due for AF. So the day I missed AF (Tues b/4 we left) I took a HPT and it showed a faint positive. So I called up a dr and went for a test. She would only give me a urine test and it was negative and said a blood test would be a waste of time at this point and to come back next week if no AF So I went home and thought I was crazy. By Friday still no AF, but I thought she was coming because I had cramps so I took another HPT and I couldn't figure out if it was positive or not. So we left on vacation on Saturday (7/24) and I waited and waited. By Tuesday still no AF, but some cramps so we took a HPT again and it was a BFP. It only took like 3 seconds for the BFP to come out. We were in shock! It was only our 2nd month of trying and I was back in NY the 1st two weeks of my cycle.

After a week on vacation, I had some spotting so in Switzerland we went to a dr and he gave me a sonogram and said everything looked ok, but to take it easy for the rest of the vacation. So far so good!

Now I have to find a dr, here in Ireland and make an appointment.

ETA - So far only my MIL knows, we are waiting to tell my parents when we meet them in Paris in 3 weeks, if I can wait that long . It is going to be hard, DH doesn't think I will be able to since my Mom and I talk on the phone like 4 hours a week.

Have a great time in Italy. We were there in December and loved it! Will you be in Rome? If so there is a great restaurant called Marcello's it is over by the Spanish Steps, I am sure if you ask the hotel they could get the exact address for you.
