We're having an e-party-I'm soooo excited-Nevermind/update

a bunch of us went out to dinner for mothers day and my mom leans over and mentions they would love for the families to get together in the summer for an over due e-party. Both FI and myself smiled. so i asked about some friends or atleast the BP and both parents said of course. we were on the yes/no of having one, but now my parents r doing it so we get to have one.

I will start on a list and i will do invites on the computer to save money. Does anyone have a good program i can use for the invites and what paper i should use?

WE'RE HAVING A PARTY

I asked my parents about decor n what and my dad said they were only doing complete immediate family only. no aunts, uncles, cousins or a few friends. just us in the house, my brother n SIL and Kevin's side, his parents and brothers and the BP. i'm sad and a lil upset. i got excited for nothing.

Congrats - I'm so excited for ours...we're having mostly family (only 35 invitations), but we're all 110 people right now

I HIGHLY recommend Vistaprint.com for invites - hmpena and I both just recently used them - they came so fast, and they are so so so cute. Or you could go to Michaels, Staples, or AC Moore and buy the invite sets - they're roughly $30, and you print them yourself.

eta: it was cheaper for us to order them than to make them (we'd have to buy new ink cartridges for the printer.) AND I did a google search, and found a 25% off coupon clickthrough. 40 invites for 16.95.

Congrats to you.....that is so nice that both sets of parents are throwing you the party....should be lots of fun!! You'll definitely have to post pictures for us all to see!!

aww im sorry about the disappointment, but atleast you will still have those closest to you to celebrate.:)

you should be happy anyway and TRUST ME, it may be bettar this way!! Our list ballooned to 150+++ and it is a HEADACHE!!

You guys are right. I am very thankful that they r doing this, I was just taken back a little cause the way my mom said it was completely different than what my dad intended.

with my side, his side and the bridal it comes to 21 people, thats good for nice fun bbq and for the BP to get to know one another.
