I recently found out where my mom came up with Lauren from. A few days after I threw my old company's Christams Party, where I was walking around checking people in with a clipboard, and handing out raffle tickets- where a work friend kept calling me 'Julie from the Love Boat' (she was the cruise director). I found out that she saw the name Lauren in the credits of the Love Boat. For the girl that played Julie! weird.

Whenever I do something stupid my family sings 'c'mon knock on my door'
My dad told all my friends in HS about it and for sweet 16s when i went to light a candle with them the DJ played ''c'mon knock on my door'

Re: were you named after someone?
My middle name is after my great grandmother - Louise - on my mom's side - but my ancient 'great-cousin' on my dad's side thinks I was named after her... she's like 85 - so we just let her keep thinking that... I keep getting silly gifts for my birthday from her... the last one - a shiny penny with Kennedy's head engraved under Lincoln's WEIRD!

Re: were you named after someone?
I wasn't named after someone I was named after something:
Qiana is a silky nylon fiber first developed by DuPont in 1968 [1]. Initially intended for high-end fashions, it eventually became a popular material in the 1970s for men's shirts, displaying bold patterns and large images. The shirts were generally cut tight and included wide collars to fit over the collars of the double-knit suit coats which were worn popularly to discos.
I was named Christine....after you got it...The Big Guy up there - Jesus Christ....hahahahaha....makes sense I guess b/c I was born on Christmas Eve!

I wasn't named after anyone but my parents named me Cindy, NOT Cynthia bc they figured everyone would just call me Cindy anyway.
Well lo and behold, you know how many people insist that my name is Cynthia!!!!!!! I even get mail addressed to Cynthia, why?? Do you know what it's like when people try to challenge you on your own name?
'Well what does it say on your birth certificate'
'It says you're a moron!!!!'
Well I had this friend that his name was Manfred (I think it was German or somenthing like that) people used to insist that was his nick name and used to send him invitation and mail to Manuel Alfredo..... so I know what you mean.
