WERE YOU THE TYPE........

i always had a set age, that I wanted to be married by & have kids, but not flipping that it woulnt have happend.. Although I am at that age now,,

alot of my friends married very very very young, IMO, & at this point their marriages have soured, whos divorced , whos not, whos cheeting, so Im glad I waited till my prince came along,,

omg yes i was - i have been with FH since I was 15 and i always planned to be married before 22 - just old enough to drink at my wedding!!

and then as time passed - FH said we wouldnt be getting engaged until way after 25 SO i was planning on getting married around 30

well, life is full of surprises and i will be 25 when i get married - as for my friends, most of them are engaged too! but i have felt a little friction from those who arent!

That said if they don't get married by a certain age, you would flip?

I personally was never the one to say it and always had the attitude of 'When it happens, it happens'. Now that I am getting married and most of my friends are still single, I wonder how I would feel being in their shoes and seeing your friends around you getting married. Just a thought because I know some of us feel that your friends are not 'Into the Wedding'

i had the same attitude - whatever's meant to be. that being said i'm the first one of my friends to get engaged, there's one other in a serious relationship, one that just started what looks like it could be a serious relationship, one in a i don't know, and a majority of singles.

i have noticed though, that the ones who stressed over relationships the least when we were younger are the ones in committed relationships now (w/ the exception of one who's still single) - i personally only had like 3 casual boyfriends b4 fh. the girls who had on bf after another or who were always worried about being single are still in the same place. i wonder if it's a coincidence...

i always thought i would be engaged @ 26 & married @ 28.
So when FH asks (we already have the ring), i'll be right on schedule, since I'm 26 in January.

It is hard, b/c ALL of my friends started getting engaged 2 years ago, and I have been with my BF the longest. I got a lot of 'When/Why/Why not' questions from people, and it really bugged me for a long time ! People can be so nosy & hurtful with out even realising it!

I realise now that i wouldn't have wanted to rush this coming moment for anything! Its too special to do it b/c everyone else is!

(Sure I'm posting HERE before the official engagment, but i swear I have not started planning )

I actually said that I wanted to have a baby by the age of 23 I am 23 now and couldnt picture myself with a baby lol....maybe 25 hehe

I'm only 22, and I've been with FH since I was 16 -- so I never really had a time when I thought I had to be married by. I met FH at 14, we started dating at 16, and after just a few months I knew that he was the man I wanted to marry. We did have a breakup between that time and now, but I always knew I would marry him... so there was never a rush! We've taken our time...and by the time we get married next year we'll both have our Master's degrees and hopefully be set!
