Were your closing costs close to your estimated closing costs?

Hey Karissa!

Strange enough, ours was lower than expected, so we got a check back for 5K... the only reason being is that my FH figured out a way to build some of the closing cost into the mortgage payments (like, we didn't pay for our taxes for 2004 all up front, so in the end, that $5k will come to bite us in the butt in a few months)... nevertheless, our mortgage broker told us he usually tells people to bring about $1k more than they really need...
