So we went tonight for the first time to register and we thought that we were going to be able to go scan and the registry women came around with us and scanned for us. Has this every happened to anyone else! what is that about.

wow weird......that def didnt happen with fh and i. they just gave us the zappy gun and a list and then we were on our own.

That happened to us to when we went and we just wanted to do it ourselves. After that we did the rest of it online so we didn't have to be bothered.

Yes, we had her walk around with us also. We actually appreciated the help with the china and certain things. Then we told her thank you and we would walk around by ourselves and if we needed help, we would ask her.

UMMM YESSSS - i posted about this earlier in the week!! This is where my nervois break down came from b/c the guy basically made us run around the store as if it was a marathon!!!! I should have opened my mouth sooner but honestly there just wasnt any time to do it LOL i felt like i was on Supermarket Sweep LOL

WOW!! you guys must have went to stores where the people werent helpful. I didnt go with FH. I didnt want him there. I felt he would have drove me crazy and held me back. I went with my sister and we were done in no time. The woman there helped bang out my china and everyday dishes and helped me with things that were more important than others. Later on I went to crate and barrel to register there and they handed me the gun and I felt clueless, cause I didnt know where certain things were and what was needed for what

Next time i am going to say something. i thought she was just going to show us and leave and she never left. FH was getting really annoyed. he doesn't like discussing things in front of people.

we were left alone most times, other times someone walked around with us- but i think we may have asked questions those times. and FH had the scanner and scanned every item, even some stupid ones that i had to take of when we got home haha

When I went, the lady told me she'd walk around with us for as long as we wanted. She said if we wanted to do the gun ourselves, just to let her know. But the way she explained it was that she didn't want us to have to climb up and under and around things to find the scanner so she'd handle 'the dirty work'. She was so nice!!! Then she went to go print labels for our shower invite inserts and we went around with the gun on our own.

Yup!! The registry person came with us too, but we did the scanning. I actually wanted him with us so it was fun. It felt like we got a grand tour of the strore (Went to the one on 6th in Manhattan). He was also great for advice & he didn't hover to much that if felt like we couldn't do our own thing.

No when I registred at BBB she asked me if I needed help and I said no thank you and used the gun myself.

No, the lady gave us the gun and told us to come back to her when we were done.
That's really weird that she would do it for you. Shopping for the items in your house should be a personal experience without having a sales person oversee your every decision.

We did our at Westbury BBB and FH was getting soo pissed the very nice sales lady was practically making us add ridiculous shiz that we have no absolute need for. After 5 minutes had to tell her to eff off cause FH wasnt comfortable ( heaven forbid ) with the chic. I was like just show me how to use this thing! But of course when we did want her her help and asked her something - gave her 1/2 hour to answer she forgot to find out the info- yea lady F you to, lol
