Wesbury Manor

How is that place? Appearance? Service? Is it lit all year round. I pass by it all the time but I have never been in.

FH and i looked at it, it's real nice...they have gardens to take pics in and the room is perfectly square, a good shape room for a wedding reception. they have a restaurant there too, so maybe you can go to try the food before booking. when we looked they gave us a 25 gift certificate to their restaurant....still havent used it though

I may be biased, but i loved it. We didn't want that reception hall kind of feel, so Westbury Manor was perfect for us. It used to be a huge mansion, so it still maintains that sort of home-y feeling even though it's really big. There's a lot of wood walls and french doors...

The entire place is decorated every day by their house florist. It's only lit during the winter time. In the spring and summer, their gardens and outdoor areas are beautiful.

So far, service has been great...

it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! i had my senior prom there, and we ALMOST booked there. but we wanted a smaller wedding and the min req for a friday or saturday night was too high for us. we didn't want a day wedding, so we had to look elsewhere. luckily we found something we liked but we were REALLY bummed that we couldn't have it at wm.

It's gorgeous, it was my first choice! You really have to appreciate victorian style to love it. If you like a more modern hall you won't like westbury manor. I just loved the whole feel of it.

Re: Wesbury Manor

my fh and i liked it..i agree with the other girls that it is a more home-y feel to it not like some of the other reception halls out there, we just went there for our friends wedding and the service and food were great and we were also being extra critical at the time because we thought we were going to book there but i liked larkfield manor better...go check it out though, the banquet manager was a doll i cant remember her name though, she gave us a tray with fruit and chocolate to dip it in when she was going over the menu with us i thought that was a nice touch

Re: Wesbury Manor

Thanks everyone. I cant wait to see the WM!!! I have been reading posts and looking at pics and I have heard sooo many good things. I DO NOT want a typical reception hall, I want something different. I am looking for a mansion type place and I love the VIctorian style era, so I hope the WM suites my needs/wants. I went to the Woodlands, that place is def homey/mansion like but something or maybe alot of things were missing from there. I dont know I cant say anything until I see the place in person because everything in pics look soooo nice.

Re: Wesbury Manor

You should check out Land's End. It is a classic tutor style mansion and has a very homey feel. You feel like you're in someones home and definitely not in a RH. And they host only one event at a time so the whole place is yours. There is a huge deck right on the bay for the coctktail hour and a nice cordial bar and a fireplace. We also checked out The Woodlands, but FH didn't like it. We then saw Land's End and we knew it was the place.

As soon as we walked in to WM we said this is the place. We both love the mansion look and feel it has. The food is GREAT!!!! And the service is amazing also!!! We espically liked it cause we wanted a summer wedding and wanted to do the CH out doors. And they have a great patios and beautiful grounds for pics!!!
