FH and I went to west lake inn a few weeks ago, he likes it.. I'm a little iffy, I'm not 100% on the ball room, its just not what I wanted, but he has his heart set on this place, so I guess that's what we're going with. The price is right, we know the food is good.... its just this ONE room (the other rooms are great).
Does anyone have PICTURES of a wedding that was held here?
Has anyone been to a wedding there and maybe can you share the pros and cons?

We've been to 16 halls already, we've been engaged since July... we need to book now. We've also contacted about 30 other halls.
I'm about 95% on this place, its just how to spruce up the ball room... that's why I want pictures to see how others did.
I just realized they are the only RH that did not show us books of past weddings.

Keep in mind that no place will ever look as aesthetically pleasing to you when you tour it compared to the actual wedding day. I know you've said you wanted an evening wedding, so with the lights dimmed and candles lit, and your CPs on the table, I am sure everything will be beautiful.

I have never been there either but I just noticed at the bottom of your post, there are a lot of 'related topics' with West Lake Inn Are they the same caterers as Flowerfield and Lands' End? I thought I remembered them from the vendor showcase. The food will be excellent!!!!! As far as the ballroom, was it set up for a wedding when you went to see it (CPs, tables set, etc?)? I would ask if you can come the day before or a few hours before a wedding starts (before the bride and groom get there lol) so that you can get an idea of what it looks like at a wedding...I would also ask them to see pics of the ballroom set up for a wedding.

My Dad has his Fire Chief Installation Dinner there. There were many people there and there was plenty of room seating and on teh dance floor. The food was also good!!

Ask them how much you can personalize the room, so that way you can really make it yours.

When we went there it was set up for a sweet 16, but looked almost like a wedding.
I actually asked if they could take the tulle down and they said no... I just DON'T LIKE IT, I think without it I might like it a little more...
FH is scheduling a tasting... so I guess if the food is good we're booking there.

You seem so uncertain and hesitant...I just don't think you should feel that way about your RH... I would tell them after the tasting (if you still are considering it), that the only thing really holding you back is the tulle and what can they do about that. If it bothers you that much...honestly, I wouldn't book there...you are the bride and you should love your hall!!!! JMO! When I booked Ladn's End I KNEW it was the place for me and never looked back. When we went to the tasting we knew again that we had made the right decision...If you feel like this now...you will probably be unhappy later on. Even though you have seen so many, there are a ton here on LI you probably haven't seen simply bec there are so many...don't give up yet

They don't have books of past weddings because I am pretty sure they are newish and may not have had a lot of weddings. I think the place was abandoned prior to Lovin' Oven taking it over.
