I've been there for a couple of weddings in the winter. I think their food is very good. Was there anything in particular that you were wondering about?

Re: WESTBURY MANOR
That was my original date, but I changed our date. I saw pictures of the decorations and what it would look like around Christmas time and it looked BEAUTIFUL. Personally, I think the type of venue Westbury Manor is, it would be the perfect setting for a Christmas style/winter wonderland wedding.
Ask them to show you pictures so you can get an idea of what it may look like but I think its beautiful (I booked there too)

I haven't been to a wedding there but I dropped off several payments during the holidays last year and it was decked out! It was absolutely stunning. I think they have pics they can show you.

I saw a few pics but its been awhile since I was there and I had a momentary freak out! Do you know if they offer packages? I feel left out of the loop for some reason...we go to the party planner August 6th so maybe we will know more then....like when do you do the food tastings and cake tastings? When do you know who your maitre'd is? Is it too early for me to be asking these crazy questions!?! lol

I'm having my wedding anniversary there on April 28, 2012 and I was told that I would find out who maitre d is and do cake/food tasting aprox 30 days beforehand. The banquet manager will explain everything to you, they are very helpful.

Aww...it's not crazy! I had the same ones. I'm not sure what you mean by packages. They decorate everything including where you have your CH (but not your room, obviously) themselves without cost to you.
You do the menu selection, linen choices, etc about 30 days out. You can schedule the food tasting whenever you want before that. I think they do them on Wed. or Thurs. by appointment. Its pretty cool how they do it. You are essentially fed dinner in the Polo Lounge with potential menu items. Aldo is the manager there you will probably meet. He is awesome!
The cake tasting happens at the showcase but you can call Francescos Bakery in Hicksville (who provides the cake) and do a formal tasting. Its a much better experience that way and if you decide to do anything extra he is the one to talk to anyway.
We got to know the staff pretty well over the year and a half it took us to pay for the wedding! We dropped off payments every 3 or 4 weeks. We actually picked our own Bridal Attendant, MD, Bar Tender and Head Waiter. LOL. Normally they just schedule people for you.
I put a lot of pics in my review if you want to see some room shots.
FM me if you have any questions. Have fun...and if you haven't already, try the chocolate martinis. They are heavenly!!

Thanks Dana! I spoke to Ian today at WM...When my cousin got married, her hall offered her photographer, DJ, and flowers for a price...I wasn't sure if WM did that. We meet with the party planner August 6th so we will be pointed in the right direction then. He told me about the expos where I can try some of the food, and when I confirm the menu I can try what I didn't get to try at the expos. He didn't make it sound like we would try everything though- is that normal? I'm not really sure how it works! I'm SO excited to see WM in person at the winter, I love it so much!
