I was wondering if any of you are keeping their chairs? You know, the maroon ones. I don't like them... (uhm... )

I want to rent slipcovers to cover them, is anyone doing this? If so, how much are you renting each slipcover for?

I didn't like the chairs either and they didn't go with the look I wanted. I was in the Manor Room and they redid so much in that room from when I booked that I kept hoping they would redo the chairs. I waited till the very end and when the chairs were still there and we had money still there I rented chair covers. They totally changed the look of the room - IMO. I got them through the Finishing Touch.

How much did you rent each slipcover for?

Yup! That is an actual pic from the night of my wedding. I LOVED the way everything turned out.

I don't remember the exact price, but they were in the range of $4-$5 a chair. That sounds very expensive and it is. Especially when I had 240 chairs to cover!!

I did alot of research, looked at online places and other stores, but it really was the best price. It includes set up and removal. Other places online you would have to pay someone to put them on and take them off. Others I had to have shipped back the next day and others were charging more if the cover got dirty or stained. Here everything was taken care of for me. They coordinated getting in the room and when to come and take them off. No charge if they get dirty.

If you need more info let me know, but hopefully by the time you get married they will change the chairs!

But that's MY opinion. How is it rude?

I booked it with no intention of changing the covers b/c I don't think I can afford covering them up - I need help exploring my options. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But, I certainly did not mean to offend anyone.

Everyone has their own prefernces.

It all depends on the 'look' you want for your reception room.

However, honestly, I took a picture of the chairs when I booked it - and upon examining details , I saw they were scratched and looked old. That is mainly why I want to cover them up. If they were brand spanking new looking, then that's something else.
