Im getting married there and have gone to dinners there and the food and service was TOP NOTCH! I mean they made us feel like movie stars. I have to admit you are the FIRST and ONLY person I have ever known to say the food/service was terrible. EVERYONE I talk to has nothing but AMAZING things to say about the place.
What happened that was so terrible?

When I walked in they didnt seat us at all, i had to go look for the waiter to seat us. when we sat down it took them 15-20 minutes to give us the menu, we just kept looking around to make eye contact with someone in order to get the menu. then it took another 20ish minutes for them to serve us bread and water and take our orders.
they were absolutely not attentive to us at all as compared to the other patrons -- which was upsetting... for a moment i thought it was because of our ethnicity.. maybe i'm just thinking to much. but thats how they made me feel.

I must say again, that has never happened to me...did you have a reservation? I wonder what was going on - I don't recall it taking that long to have our orders taken, get bread, etc..., but FH and I are the type that love sitting and talking over a long dinner - so I probably wouldn't have noticed if that was the case...

Re: Westbury Manor Brides
Im in TOTAL shock. Ive been there on busy nights and it took MAYBE 10 minutes to seat us and theres a hostess at the door to the restaurant/bar area and she asked how she could help us. I mean there was so much staff on hand that even if SHE wasnt there there were at least 3 other people that we could have spoken to. As soon as we walked in there was ANOTHER hostess that told us the table would be a few minutes and we could hav a drink at the bar. I mean FH And I are NOT the type to spend like HOURS at dinner and I did not feel AT ALL that we were ignored, that it took a long time to place an order, get bread, get drinks when we needed them and like I said they were busy. I even had a piece of cake for FH's birthday and they were amazing with it! had the whole restaurant get in on the singing...
I dont even know what to say other than maybe it was a bad night but I NEVER even heard from ONE PERSON of there EVER being a bad night, regardless of ethnicity... So I DEF dont think it was that...
Just take it with a grain of salt and try going back. I hear NOTHING but great things about the place and you have NOTHING to be worried about =)
