Hello Future Westbury Manor Brides,

Westbury Manor blew me away when my fiancee and visted last February. Our wedding date is set for May 26, 2012 in the afternoon. We decided to have the ceremony there and do an early morning photo shoot beforehand at Old Westbury Gardens.

Here is our list of HIGHLY recommended vendors:

1) For both photo and video save yourself the trouble of looking around and getting frustrated! Go with Golden Moments in Mineola (ask for Pat or Dan). Their style is cutting edge, HD and very cinematic. There were so many places we looked at that were typical and cookie-cutter.

2) The Times Square Orchestra- This is our band! They were awesome at their showcase, be sure to check out future dates on their website.

3) Hidden Essence - Our florist who is VERY talented!

4) Etsy.com- They have the BEST small items for weddings. I wanted to create that English Garden/Vintage/ Pride and Prejudice feel. This site was perfect for what I needed.

Goodluck to everyone and let me know if you have any other ideas! Our wedding will be in the Garden Room. I know the tables are oddly sized. Does anyone know what size table cloths I would need? I'd like to use ones made of lace.

Omg! Have to see your etsy items because vintage is my theme. Can you FM me the info for photographer please thanks !

Yes, can I second a FM to etsy? I love that P&P, english garden look! My weakness will be sticking to ONE look though and not getting all over the place with everything.

I am making my lace runners, and the manor room holds much morethen 140 as out guantee is 175 and have 260 invited.

I'm sorry you're right. I meant the Garden room which is much smaller. Thanks for clearing that up

Can you change the date at all?

What time is your cermony starting??...I think because I want onsite ceremony that's why its only sunday 12-5, saturday 12-5 or 8-1:30 and sunday 12-5. Those are the only times you can have onsite ceremony and wedding..... ...idk what to do, im sad by this. I heard other brides have a 6pm but their ceremony was at another site.

I'm so excited to be a westbury bride :) I'm having the same problem with the time and the cermony I booked the the place because I fell in love with it so i only booked it for the reception Now I'm looking for a place to hold my cermony and I'm not a member of any church....what to do what to do thank god wedding ain't till feb 2013... Good luck

Re: Westbury manor brides

Just booked the westbury manor for feb 17 2013 extremely excited the place and price are both amazing only thing I didn't like was the time options that were given to us. So I decided to not do the cermony there and my reception starts at 6 pm. So now looking for a place to do my cermony not being a member of any church I was concerned but I came across a wedding chapel near westbury non religious , they can bring in a minster or u can bring in your own. Going to check it out seems like such a great solution hope this gos well. Then my problem would be solved.. So any other Wb brides with the same issue check out thehistoricalchapel.com

I was in the same situation, so I decided to do a summer wedding. I'm not a winter person. My ceremony starts at 8pm that's great for a summer Friday night. I think 6 p is good!!!

Same here! I thought about it for like 2 weeks before I booked... but I figured I booked springtime, it's getting warmer out and most people I talked to said, 'who cares, its' your wedding!' and I decided to just do it and have fun. After meeting with all the other venues, I figured that they are giving me so much more and were so much nicer that I don't mind if people leave around 1.

Oh also, I forgot to mention - they told me that if I did the ceremony indoors, I could have an earlier start. Did they mention that at all? I'm in the Garden room if that makes a difference.

Hi WM brides!

WM gave me a quote for a Saturday afternoon wedding in September. I have read all these articles online about negotiating with RHs and I tried with WM but they wouldn't budge. Did any of you gals have the same experience? They told me that the price they offered was as low as they could go.

I can FM you my price for May once I get home and find it. I think it was around 100 pp. They did come down a little bit because it's the very first weekend of peak season. I think September might be a popular month.

I agree- they did come down a bit (I am first weekend in May too). We got a couple of extra things thrown in and another couple of things discounted. Who is your banquet manager? Also - are you looking for a holiday weekend in Sept? That might change the price...
