We met w Lorena. We choose it bc of e elegant simplicity it afforded us, the outdoor area, food and It just felt right to us.
We are April 28tn and pp we paid a little over $100 w tax and tip. I love it there and have never heard a bad thing about them. (knock on wood)

Re: Westbury manor brides
Hello and congratulations!! Ok, Westbury Manor! I have tons to say! I love the historic charm of Westbury Manor. I appreciate that it doesn't come off as a wedding factory, it gives you the feeling of stepping into an old family mansion. The staff is so attentive and professional. Some other places I visited turned me off just by the rudeness or lack of interest from the staff. One place had their staff eating out of styrofoam containers in the parking lot and didn't even acknowledge me as I walked by LOL! The taste and presentation of the food is impressive, the grounds are very well cared for (with cute little roaming duckies and peacocks!) and the flowers in the summer are GORGEOUS. In my opinion, the prices are very reasonable ( and negotiable) and to me the staff and abundant food are worth it. If i remember correctly, there were prices for may under 100pp!! and remember, dont be ashamed to negotiate!!! are you looking for this may 2012 or 13? if 2012 i bet u could get an awesome price bc they want to fill those dates and are unlikely to at this point. I hope you enjoy your tour and if you have any questions FM me! Good luck!!

Re: Westbury manor brides
Thanks for the advice, now that I think about it there was only certain days that you could have your ceremony on site. And I think thats why it's either sun 12-5 or friday 8-1:30a. Plus saturday weddings are more expensive, so i didnt even ask about it. unless I have the ceremony somewhere else, maybe thats how i will habve a 6pm reception time.

What time is your cermony starting??...I think because I want onsite ceremony that's why its only sunday 12-5, saturday 12-5 or 8-1:30 and sunday 12-5. Those are the only times you can have onsite ceremony and wedding..... ...idk what to do, im sad by this. I heard other brides have a 6pm but their ceremony was at another site.

The times are specific to which rooms you book. If you are in the Garden Room then you have the later start because the group in the Manor Room gets the Garden Room for their CH (if that makes sense). As far as pics, we were allowed onsite 2 hours early so we actually have a lot of day and evening pics. Your MD will show you the spots to take pics and if the weather is bad there is an indoor studio - we actually took a lot of family pics there.
The one piece of advice I can give you is get to know the staff. We actually hand picked who we wanted to work our event. We stopped in every 2 weeks and dropped a payment off (and had a free drink at the bar! )
We got to know Jerry, Aldo (the Polo Lounge manager), George (HR) and we still pop in for dinner from time to time and they all come right over to say hi. It really made such a difference in the experience to me.
They did the most amazing job and I didn't have one problem. People raved about the food when they saw us after.
If you have any questions FM me.

I am getting married at a church so my ceremony won't be there. Would you consider maybe doing a Saturday day? Ceremony time could be like 12 & may not be that expensive...

Re: Westbury manor brides
I'm at Westbury Manor April 28, 2012 and all this info is good to know. I fell in love with the place just based on there website. My banquet manager is Ian and I'm in the Garden room. I don't like the late start either but now I understand why.
I need to start visiting more often to get to know more of the staff

Re: Westbury manor brides
I have had a great expoerience at the Westbury manor. From the first day we went there we have met with Jerry Scotto himself. I am not sure if that is going to change from here on out for food and event planning, but so far he has been answering all my questions. It was so refreshing to meet with the owner and have someone so interested in my special day. You can tell that he really loves what he does and has a great respect for the facility. He does all the flowers and ordering and really takes great care of the place. I have found them to be amazing . I have the manor room on a friday night and I will be getting married in a church so I can' speak about the ceremony portion.
YAY westbury Manor :)

Hello Future Westbury Manor Brides,
Westbury Manor blew me away when my fiancee and visted last February. Our wedding date is set for May 26, 2012 in the afternoon. We decided to have the ceremony there and do an early morning photo shoot beforehand at Old Westbury Gardens.
Here is our list of HIGHLY recommended vendors:
1) For both photo and video save yourself the trouble of looking around and getting frustrated! Go with Golden Moments in Mineola (ask for Pat or Dan). Their style is cutting edge, HD and very cinematic. There were so many places we looked at that were typical and cookie-cutter.
2) The Times Square Orchestra- This is our band! They were awesome at their showcase, be sure to check out future dates on their website.
3) Hidden Essence - Our florist who is VERY talented!
4) Etsy.com- They have the BEST small items for weddings. I wanted to create that English Garden/Vintage/ Pride and Prejudice feel. This site was perfect for what I needed.
Goodluck to everyone and let me know if you have any other ideas! Our wedding will be in the Garden Room. I know the tables are oddly sized. Does anyone know what size table cloths I would need? I'd like to use ones made of lace.
Omg! Have to see your etsy items because vintage is my theme. Can you FM me the info for photographer please thanks !

I thought about having a band but changed my mind cuz the Manor room seems too small.
As far as the tables, where are you getting lace linens from? Also Natasha told me that there are ten tables max in the manor room with 10 to 14 people per table and the longest table length is 132 inches.
Which Etsy vendors are you using?
