Westbury Manor brides- After Party?

First of all, LIW hasn't worked since Saturday and I was having serious withdrawals!!!

Anyway...moving on

Westbury Manor brides are you having/ did you have an after party? And if so, where?? We are staying/ hotel blocking at the Hyatt Place in Garden City since we get a comped night. Their bar closes at midnight and our reception isn't over until midnight so that's out. We also asked WM, but they don't do after parties- our only option there is extending the party for an extra hour at about $2000- which there is no way I am paying for that! Saturday, we even drove past the hotel looking for nearby bars and there are none! We definitely want some kind of after- party as we are a pretty young crowd, but we are running out of options.


Is anyone else having trouble with this?? Thanks!

I'm a WM bride too and we're in the same boat! I've been to other weddings where the after party is just casual and relaxed at the hotel bar...so I think we're just going to look for a hotel which has a bar or some kind of space to hang out (which is actually surprisingly hard to find in the area). The only other thing I can think of is if they have a conference room or something you could rent out for a couple hours at the hotel - but I'm sure that would cost extra money and you'd have to supply beer/wine etc or people would have to bring it. Hope you find something!

Right?? It really is hard to find something. I don't want to have to switch hotels because with the Hyatt we get a free night, We don't owe anything if no one books with the hotel, and if we do get 10 rooms we get a shuttle so it just makes sense to stay there. They told me we could hang out in their lobby, but I feel like we can't be drinking alcohol there. As of right now my only option is to get a bus to pick us up from WM and drop us off at the Floral Park bars on tulip for the night.

Yeah liw has been working off and on which has been killing me too.
anyway I'm getting married at WM too. Is it to late to ask for a later start time which would make your party end later? My party ends 1:30am.

Otherwise I'm not sure where you could go. There is a lot of places by hofstra but they sometimes have a lot of college crowds.

Depending on the amount of people and your budget maybe the hotel has a large room that you can use but may have to pay for. My sorority had a formal at a hotel once and we hung out in a big suite looking thing (like a lounge type meeting room) maybe they have one of those you can use after hours. Im not block booking there as I found cheaper rooms elsewhere so I'm not sure but look into that

Hello former WM Brides! I'm going to look at hotels in Westbury to see if they will offer a free shuttle. What did you brides end up doing for the after party? Also, I'm curious which lighting you chose for the Manor room and if you had up-lighting. I'm trying to make the room lighter but not sure how and not sure which colors to pick to go with it.

ARe you going to the bridal showcase they're having in july? I hope they have some uplighting so i could get a better idea. I'm not doing an after party being that my wedding is on sunday.
