Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Hi All! I was so excited to find this 'WBM' thread. I'm new to the website and to the whole 'chat thing.' I'm also, of course, having the reception at WBM, and would like to say 'hi.' I've read back a couple of months and found everyone's replies helpful and quite informative. My wedding date is set for November 5, 2005 (~ly 1:00 CH) and I'm looking forward to planning this wonderous event with the help of the WBM brides.

You girls gave me a good idea. My fiancee and I booked reservations to eat at Westbury Manor on Valentine's Day. It is a cozy restaurant. I'm looking forward to it.Should I tell the waiter that we're getting married there? I don't think it will make a difference, do you?

I don't think it could hurt to tell them
The waiters were so nice last time I was there. I was there with my parents and my dad was talking to them like they were old cousins. We felt like family there

I would tell them. FI and I have gone a few times to eat there. First with our parents and then alone. The time we were there alone I was asking questions about the bar area since our guests will be arriving early and I said sorry for the random questions, but I am getting married here. Soon after, almost everyone came to chat with us and they gave us dessert on the house.

I also would tell them that you are getting married there. I have yet to go to dinner there, but anytime Vincent and I have gone to drop off our deposit, we make it a point to sit at the bar. Maybe the bartender remembers our face, but we haven't paid for a drink yet.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Can anyone tell me how full the dessert trays are? For some reason my mom is worried that there won't be enough dessert. Also, I think I asked this a while ago, but maybe someone knows the answer now: If there is a dessert choice with the Four Seasons Menu and I add the dessert trays, I gte both, right?
Thanks!

I don't think if you get dessert trays you still get the dessert on the 4 seasons menu. I am pretty sure thats what i was told.

But if you have to pay for the additional trays, shouldn't you get them AND what is in the menu?

So why are we paying extra? Maybe I will let my parents argue this one for me.

I wish a past bride could help us out. How about our Valentine bride. Do you know about the Vienetta?
