not sure about that. I would think the new tour would have the new ceilings in it. This still has the old.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I went to the WBM yesterday to pick up direction cards to put with my invites. I also had a few very quick questions. My BM Gennaro was not there so I asked to speak with Susan since on my first visit my FI and I spoke with her.I am sorry to say I was disappointed with her attitude. She really came off inconvenienced and condesending when I asked her questions about the new Four Seasons Menu along with one or two others. I told her that I heard about the new menu on this board and she made a comment about how detremental this board could be.... Well yeah it is detremental to vendors who have a bad attitude.
Anyway, when we booked WBM I was hoping Susan would be there to make the arrangements but now that I have experienced her attitude once the deal is closed I am happy I am with Gennaro. Oh well, Just wanted to share the experience.

Did anyone using the Garden room move thier reception time up an hour to 7:30 due to 8:30 being a late start time?

My cocktail hour starts at 7PM and reception at 8PM. Maybe it varies depending on the day

I too got an attitude when I went to pick up my directions cards, pick out menu, etc by an employee at WM.I had also signed with Gennaro and unfortunately couldn't work with him that night. If the experience was bad enough, I would speak with Gennaro as he is a Scotto and could help fix the situation.

Mickey-Thanks for the info about the doors!! It just keeps getting better!!! Although I can't really picture white doors when everything is dark wood??? But it gives me the perfect reason to make another trip to the WM!!

When I booked, I mentioned something about LIWeddings and Susan seemed a little turned off by it because of an incident that happened in which a former employee spread rumors on here that Scotto Brothers was going bankrupt. I think she is worrisome of what is being said and by whom. I am sorry she was condescending though, that is not cool. Maybe she was having a bad day. She has been great with me.

I remember that post!! But seriously, I don't know Susan but give people a little credit! Someone called WM right after that post for verification and then the drama was over. No biggie.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Susan is our BM and she's been abrupt and seemed bothered by my asking questions also. So far not so happy with her.also we kept asking if we could try some food , so she said we can have some when we were stopping in, there was a cocktail hour going on. Then when we got there she said the cocktail hour was over and it was too late. She KNEW we were coming and wanted to try food , she couldn't have it sent up before we got there??? we reminded her many times too.

I asked if we could try food, they told us that we could have a tasting a month before our wedding. Does this sound right?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I have heard that there are no formal tastings but people have managed to get some appetizers. I guess it depends on the night you go there. As far as Susan, she may just have her moments. I clicked with her, but others might not.

I think kids under five may be free, but don't quote me. I know they also have a kids menu of a few selected kid friendly dishes (chicken fingers, hamburgers and such)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
My experience with Susan while disappointing will not be mentioned to Genarro. I am happy to have him as my BM. We clicked with him. I guess it is a matter of personalities. My weddding is on a Friday since we are the smaller room our reception started later. 8:30. I thougth this was too late so we asked to have it at 7:30. The only issue is that the Manor room will be using the conservatory for thier CH if it rains from 6:30 to 7:30. Therefore they will not have enough time to set-up the conservatory for our affair. We will have to use the Executive room. I am not thrilled with that because it is a bit small to be fitting all the CH food tables as well as 135 people. I hope and pray it is a beautiful day so we can be outside.
