Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Is use of the library only for the Garden Rm, or is it for any guests who want to get away from their parties? I was under the impression that the Garden Rm and the Library go together as part of the package. I just want to make sure that no other party's guests can go there.

Edited to say: This will be our thread!!

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

For my wedding we are using the Library & the Conservatory as the cocktail hour rooms and the Manor room for the reception.
I think you should call and speak to your Banquet Manager to be sure, however, if it is listed on your contract you should have EXCLUSIVE use of the rooms! Just call to make sure and to put your mind at ease.

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

I am of the opinion that it is MINE MINE MINE ( sorry - I don't share much) and I planned on having the unwelcome children hide out in there (with something to keep them occupied of course) so they better not let other people use it!

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

I am not sure during the wedding but if it rains, my cocktail hour is in the library and smaller room with my reception in the Manor Room. Call and check with the banquet manager.

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

Okay, I called my BM, Susan Bria. She was very sweet and assured me that we have the Garden Rm and the Library for the duration of my reception. She said that sometimes they use it with the conservatory for a large cocktail hour, but it is part of my contract that I have it for my wedding

FH and I have already let our relatives know that WE get to sprawl on those couches, NOT them!!

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

I just want to give a big to you girls! I thought we were going to start our own thread for the garden room!

But since I'm here, you know how the Library has a bar... how about the Garden Room? I don't remember seeing one in there.

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

We have the Garden Room also for our reception. It was stated that the Library would be for our use only along woth the Garden room. The Manor room has a huge amount of space and they have thier own bar.

What time does your CH start? Just out of curiosity :)

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

Nav023 I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a bar in the garden room. That is why you have the library room!! I am so happy to see so many WM brides!!!!

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

Duh, if I had thought about it for a minute, I would have remembered and realized that the bar for the Garden Rm is in the Library. My cocktail hour starts at 7PM and my reception is 8-12. I had hoped I could have had 6-11 instead of 7-12, but they said the Manor Rm was booked then.

They also said that we have the lawn for the night because our doors open up to it. So we can have our smokers and stuff hanging out by the fountain

Hey, if we want this to be a Westbury Manor Bride thread, let's do it. I'll change the subject line, just say the word

Re: Westbury Manor-Garden Room Brides

I go next week to pick out my menu.. I think it will seem mmore real once I do that. I thought the dress fitting would make the wedding seem more real, but it didnt.

Maybe going to WM will, I havent been there in awhile.

My banquet manager is Susan. She said I reminded her of Charlotte from Sex and the City. My best friend says the same thing about my looks and personality.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

i'm having my wedding at Westbury Manor on 10/16/04 in the manor room. I cant remember if a cake is included in our price.Does anyone know if it usually is? I think it is, but you get to choose if you want additions to it,which would cost extra? I cant seem to think straight these days!!!

my BM is Dave as well. He is great! We're in the Manor room.
We were told they include the cake. (if you want something other then the styles they offer you can pay the difference)

Also since you are pcking out your menu did they send you a list to choose from, I got one when we signed over a year ago and I have a feelign it changed.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

LIW brides will be taking over Westbury Manor next June! There are so many of us. I'm thinking of leaving notes in the bridal suite for the other girls who will be there right after me (babybride & xjulietx), lol

I don't remember if there's going to be a rolling bar in the garden room...it sounds familiar but its been so long since I've been there its all a blur...
