Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I think we have a list of 140 and though we expect no's, we will probably have most of them. I am not worried though. Consider the fact that we have the Library as well. AND, if it is a nice night, we can keep the doors open and people can hang out on the balcony or over by the fountain. The only time you may have everyone in the room will be for the meals and the special dances etc. They WILL have a place to spread out.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Hi Ladies - We used John from Flower Michele and he thought that long and low centerpieces were best in the room b/c of how the tables are oblong - while high centerpieces definitely make a statement when you enter the room, the table appears bare. So, we went long and low with 1 taper candle on either end and rose petals in between. Let me see if I have a photo I can post.....As for the Menu Cards, I had our very own SonicStef design them - she's amazing!! She designed the monogram (which also matched my CD covers she also made for me) and we had them printed out via www.dotphoto.com = they are actually jpeg files (photos) - for .25 cents each, it was worth it!

Regina - are you meeting with Alexandria - she's awesome - tell her your hungry and she will send up for a tray of appetizers for you - we had red and white wine on the tables and we also got to choose taste the wine choices. Also, if you were interested in any add-ons, we had the seafood boat and the martini bar and they were HUGE hits!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
We are having the garden room and i was told it maxes out at 150 so that is how many wre inviting I would figure between 10-20 would say no tpos, we are worried about cramping, becuase we originaly thought we would only nvite 120, but from talkign to peopel everyone says how empty there room was becuase people are so busy out on the grunds at the bar in the library or on the terrace smoking.

Tanbride-Thanks for the info! We will definately say we are hungry when we get there
Unfortunately, our wedding is more of a beer group than a martini group. Though I would love the martinis.

I was told that the Garden room can accommodate 160 but very tight fit. 150 should be the max, but they have done 160 in that room, but again very tight fit.

Hi Tanbride-Did you say that they let you chose the wine for the tables or just taste them?
My dad had asked me that and I didn't know if they just had two table wines or if they had a few choices?
Thanks!
And good luck tonight with the menu selection - Regina!!

They let us chose the wine for the tables - the brought up a few glasses of each -they have choice of 2 whites and 2 reds and we chose the Scotto brand for the white and I think also for the red - my dad is very picky on the wine and he loved them. Very good.

someone just gave me a heart attack by telling me the garden room only holds 140 pp.
bad bad bad bad badI have 180 F$%^&*$@# people on my list (thanks to FMIL's, er cooperation) and I thought it held 150...I only wanted 125. Every day I get more and more stressed - so not good...

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
If i remember what Dave said he told me not to invite more than 160 because you also have to factor in your vendores that are gonna be ther, my dj's alone will have 4 people and that takes up space. i would call and talk to someone. I regret not booking the manor room so much.Does anyone have a copy of the menu choices, we signed our contract almost 2 years ago and i am sure alot has changed.
Also if there are any past brides from WBM, do you have pics of your dias (sp) table, I am trying to figure out what flowers I need for it..
thanks gals

They very recently changed their menu to 'The Four Seasons' menu. You can just have your Banquest Manager mail it to you. Its quite large!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
They also told me the Garden room would fit 150 MAX...he said it would be tight. I was thinking I'd have 150 (inviting 180) - so I decided not to chance it and change to the Manor room.

and also, they gave me the four seasons menu then too - that was November of last year.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Really...I just went last month and they said they haven't 'officially' rolled out the new menu yet. Well that's good at least no surprises...although they told me I could use either. As for the room - you may either try to cut your invite list down a bit or see if you can switch to the Manor room....although you'd have to do a day wedding not to have to guarantee 200...
Best of luck!!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I still say you should be okay in the Garden Rm because of the Library and the lawn. If that weekend's weather turns out the way we hope, people can go outside. I'm not worrying.Welcome New Vendors
