I am in the garden room andgot tall centerpieces from my florist, do you think it will look okay, I cant remember the cielings
I'm in the garden room too...my florist recommended low CP's which is want I wanted anyway.
Don't worry though, I think high ones will look good as well!! It's not as if the ceilings are only 6.5 feet or something! (I lived in an apt. like this before - not fun if you're tall
)

I also am in the garden room and my florist also recommended to me that I get low centerpieces dur to the ceilings. I dont think it will look bad at all. I personally really wanted tall centerpieces but my fiancee felt strongly for the low ones(i had to give him something in this wedding
). They are going to look so beautiful in that room you'll see

I think tall centerpieces should look nice as long as they are not too big that they overpower the room

Great, I could not remember for the life of me how high the ceilings are but I think the manor room and garden room should be the same height of celings

I've seen high CPs in the Manor Room that looked gorgeous - and the ceilings are the same height!

For those of you who have cars picking you up, my reception ends at 1am and the car comes at 1:15 do you think that is enough time to wrap up. For you past brides what did you do.

I am alittle concerned about the darkness of the manor room, do you think they would or if it would ok if I got white light to put up around the windows in the manor room. Do you think they would put them up for me? What do you think of this idea? Would it look funny? Thanks :)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Do not be concerned about the darkness of the room at all -it's not that dark once you are in there with the candles, the light from your video/photog, etc. My pictures all came out fine! We did chose light table cloths so to make the centerpieces stand out on th tables.

I am not sure - I think that the WM may not allow you to do that, you should check with them since they may be a fire hazard considering all the windows have drapery.

I didn't even think of it being too dark. I didn't plan on having candles. Do you think I should add some to the tables to add some light?

It's not dark at all - you don't need to have any candals if you don't want. I just had 2 pillar candles on the table on either side of my centerpiece and I chose the light table linens and it was fine.

I am not sure about the lights around the windows. I would call. I am having votive candles on the tables because I love the look. For girls interested in candles who don't want to be crazy like me and buy votives, WM does provide two tall pillar candles holders in silver and they supply the candles for that as well.

I booked in August and it was all in bloom, really beautiful flowers and plants inside and out - I don't think there is a 'decoration' for August - just all the flowers!

I am probably going to put the card box on a small table on the side and behind us. I am also putting the cake on the side table. So the piece of table normally in front of the sweetheart table will be moved to one side behind us and then on a table the same size on the other side I think I will put the card box and I was thinking of doing a collage and putting our parents wedding albums out or something like that.Welcome New Vendors
