Not me, I had thought about it and decided to cook a special dinner for FH and me. My parents' best friends invited my parents to their house for dinner so I could make dinner and have the house for the evening. I attempted a Westbury Manor dish, though: Chicken Verdi.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

For those of you that did their menu, I am so damn confused I set my appointment up for two weeks from now, and I told the girl that I want sure what menu to look at because when I signed up I got the large trifold brochure and I got 4 tall sheets that looked like real printed menus that said spring, siummer etc. She said i get three choices fromt he trifold brochure, but I heard most of you say that you ahve four choice, meat fish chicken and rack of lamb and a veggie dish. Can you all help me out I dont want to get taken by them, of course she said I can upgrade to 7 but at the price I am paying already to add the vieneze (sp) hour and the seafood boat forget it.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I'm pretty sure we get to pick four main dishes. You should definitely ask her about that! they also have veal and duck choices too.
we're meeting with her tomorrow!! can't wait!

I'm still not sure what dishes i want to pick. Fh is being difficult, he hates making these decisions. We figured out the appetizers last night. Tonight we have to figure out the main dishes and cake fillings!

Yes! It was really good! I had it at the Polo Lounge at WM and decided to use it as my chicken dish

My parents are both on vacation this week (read: they are home) and they were going to go to WM today and get their 'we're the parents who are paying' tour. I can't wait to hear how it went!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Yes, I even accused FH of not being nervous enough. Poor guy felt so guilty that he had a wedding flower nightmare. He dreamed that we only had one flower. It was a red rose that took up half the table.

I'm nervous about moving out and leaving my parents. I am REALLY nervous about leaving my parents.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

101 days to go for me, I just saw on my work calendar that tomorrow would be 100 days. It still feels like an eternity away. I think its mostly because I have everything done. I just want the day to be here already I have been planning for almost 2 years and dating for over 8 now.
