They offered me that date, I chose to do it earlier, but she had told me that we would have more than enough time to do the later date. Were going away in april and worried that it owuld be too much for us

Yes, I even accused FH of not being nervous enough. Poor guy felt so guilty that he had a wedding flower nightmare. He dreamed that we only had one flower. It was a red rose that took up half the table.

I'm nervous about moving out and leaving my parents. I am REALLY nervous about leaving my parents.

you guilted him into a nightmare!!! now that's LOVE!

Aw, that's sweet. I moved out at 20 and FH and I have lived together for 4 years already so I'm not worried about living with him (although the first 3 months were the hardest!!!). It was a very strange feeling the first time I went home to MY apartment without my mom there. It's scary and exciting at the same time. I'm sure you're feeling some of that now. It will be great though, you'll see!

For me, its not even the married part that I'm nervous about (much) its mostly just the wedding at this point. I can be a control freak and the details are starting to wear me down!

I am sticking with the 4 choice menu. I figure it wasn't worth the extra $$ to offer more food...they will be getting so much anyway!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

YAY our menu is picked.
we stuck with the 4 seasons menu too, the other is $2 more pp. Not a big deal, but its not necessary. I like the menus though!

Oooo i caught a glimpse of the new ceilings in Manor room, the room looks sooooo nice. A sweet 16 was going on so we couldn't go in.

Kelly was so nice. She helped us with our many questions and indecisions. She even brought us up a few hors d'oevres (sp?). SOOOOOOO good!!!! we picked the square stacked cake. its so pretty!!! our other choice would have been the basket weave, but i loved the square one!

we did have 4 entrees to pick, the vegetarian doesn't count as one, they'll make it on demand. so we picked a chicken (valentina maybe), filet mignon (burgundy one), orange roughy, and some veal with sun dried tomatoes.

and the portabella mushroom appetizer! mmmm sounds soooo good!!! I can't wait!!!

But now i'm doubting my favors... ill post a separate thread about that. I didn't know the seating cards were given out before cocktail hour. Do people really want to carry around a flower pot? i guess they do have tables, but still..... i'm worried

That is awesome Tracey!! Glad everything went well!! Maybe you can ask them to set up the table with the placecards so that when guests leave the cocktail hour they can pick then up and then enter the reception. Just a thought....

and our ice sculpture is an ice vase, with fresh flowers in it!!! our theme is pretty much 'flowers' and i don't really like birds ... so i thought that was a cool idea!!!

That's the ice sculpture that we picked too - we saw it at someone's cocktail hour on top of a large display and it looked so pretty with the real flowers in it.

I could SWEAR I saw that done when I was there once - there was a cocktail hour going on and there was a little table right in between the garden room and the library with place cards on it...

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Oh yeah, I forgot to post yesterday that my mom asked about having the Viennetta ice cream dish AND the tiered trays, since the ice cream is part of the Four Seasons menu and the trays are paid for addditionally. She was told that I can have it if I want it, but they usually don't advise it because it makes for a lot of sweets. My mom and I were discussing it though, and we think it would be nice because some people are ice cream people and some people are cake and cookies people. We think it will please the masses.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi Ladies! I so want to get married again at the WM!! I just wanted to let you know I had my cocktail hour outside but they set up the placecard table when you came in from outside on the right. Then after the cocktail hour, they moved teh place card table by th doors leading into the Manor Room for those who didn't pick them up.

I wonder where they put them for the Garden room, since we use the cocktail area that is closer to the road ( )

come to think of it, same here. I don't want to do place cards - I wanted to do a seating chart instead...I wonder where they would put one though...
