I was there yesterday and the Manor Room looks so nice! The new doors are great and outside 2 peacocks had their tails fanned out. Must be mating season!!

Where do they keep warm in the winter? Is there a special place for them?

Yeah! I got to drive by Westbury Manor last night. My cousins are visiting from London and we showed them the outside. I LOVE driving up the driveway with the flickering gas lamps!! My mouth drops everytime I go by there!!! Just had to share!

Hi AllQuestion. Has there been anyone, or is there anyone considering a band? If so, is there anyone who is hiring one of WBM suggested bands? Is there anyone who heard any good bands and have any suggestions?

Hi!! Welcome! I am using PrimeTime Live - they are part of LI Paramount and are one of their recommended bands. I absoutely love them!! They are a 10 piece band. And the best part is recently I actually heard them play in the Manor Room for a showcase. It sounded so awesome. And they can play just the right amount of Italian music which we needed also. Whereas some of the other recommended bands couldn't. I also really liked Body Heat. I think they recommend them also. Good Luck!

I have heard 3 bands from Franklin Wayne Music, 1 band (Timepiece) sounded excellent to me, I felt like dancing. They were a classy looking ensemble and played a variety of music. I also saw 2 others (Extreme and Day Breaksnight.) How do you know who to pick? How many bands did you see before you made your decision? Thanks

Hey, did anybody notice that Scotto Brothers joined the vendor boards? I guess they heard so many of us comparing notes, so they figured they would join us and be able to answer questions instead of us asking each other.Either that or business is slow and they need to advertise...
Nah, they just want to be where the action is

Rlivings used True Blue (Faze 4 Orchestras) as her band and they were fantastic!! I totally loved them and raved about them so much that my brother and my friend's sister are both using them as well. Good luck!

Wow, my dad used to know the Orginal Faze 4. They used to work for an agency where my dad did contracting and then they branched off and started there own agency. I have heard good things.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Picking the band was the hardest part! We went to SOOOO many showcases, listened to CDs, watched DVD's - you name it - we did it!!!!Basically I went and listened and saw how they interacted and how they sounded together and individually. FI, me and my mom went and at the end we would discuss the pros/cons of each one. Some we ruled out right away - if they weren't on target with the notes, or not really playing our style of songs. They once we found ones we liked you can tell by the rest of the people there - if they are bopping away they are having a good time!

I'm so glad I didn't have to chose a band. Dad called a bandleader who he had worked with numerous times at WM and other place and he is contracting the band. Done. I trust Dad and the bandleader.Good luck to all choosing bands. I think it must be tough.

I'm going tonight to meet with Kelly to pick our menu and linens and whatever else you do when you meet with her. I'm still not 100% on what items I am picking from the menu.

When I called to confirm my appointment they told me I didn't need to bring anything with me so I am assuming they will have a copy of the menus. I'll let you know tomorrow.

I am using Code Bleu band. They are with Skyline Orchestras. I found them to be a little cheaper than Franklin Wayne, although both are great companies.Welcome New Vendors
