Has anyone been to a wedding there? What was the CH and Reception food like? I wanted to do a tasting before I booked, but I didn't have the time. So I was just curious what everyone thought.
Their CH and reception menu aren't the usual food you find at weddings. I mean some of it is but has a twist (i.e. amaretto filet mignon). So please any opinions good or bad would be appreciated. TIA

Re: Westbury Manor Food
I was at a wedding there last year and the food was very god and there was lots of it!
I tell you it was all so good I don't think there was anything I didn't try Except for the wedding cake cause I was just too stuffed.

i got married there in feb, and the food was delish! all our guests raved about the food. however, we did the 'old' menu - instead of amaretto filet mignon, it was filet mignon in red wine sauce. the new menu was a bit too exotic for me since i'm a VERY picky eater, so we chose the old menu.

I went to a wedding there in july, the food was delicious. Some of the best catering hall food I had.

There is an 'old' menu? I agree, the menu they use now is nice but I like more simple food. Did you ask for the 'old' menu or did they show you two menus?
i would recommend going to their restaurant for dinner..me and FH LOVE IT THERE! so yummy!

i asked if we could change some of the options, and they told me that they could do their old menu, which was definitely more to my liking. if you ask about it, they should be able to tell you all the items and let you have those as your menu choices.

Thanks for the info, I will definetly ask about that next time I am there. Did you change your CH food too?

I want to go to their restaurant but I live in Westchester and am hardly on LI. I wanted to wait for FH to come home (he's deployed in Afghanistan right now) in December so we can go together.
I am going to their Showcase in a few weeks. I can't wait!!!!

I've never been to a wedding and had their 'catering' food, but I know that the food in the restaurant is very good!

Re: Westbury Manor Food
there are so many options for CH, i was happy with what we were able to choose from. i can't believe i forgot which stations we chose, but i know one of them was pasta, and one had sliced steak. the CH options are definitely much more 'basic' and you can choose 3 from out of 7-9 choices, so i think there's something for everyone.
