Gold. I am not covering them and still getting the gold table cloths. I am so angry at the WM though right now it is absurd.

Well I was a Felicia bride and they are treating me like crap. All of the things Felicia said would happen are not and I was promised the use of all the downstairs rooms all night since it was a thursday and if they book an event or party it would be upstairs. Well apparently that went with felicia too. On top of that we were treated like garbage when we went in to pick our menu and when I got a little upset I was laughed at! I posted all about it in a 'rant' post. My mom is meeting with Jerry Scatto tonight and if I can't get my rooms I better get something thrown in.

Omg I'm soo sorry too. It sounds like they want to keep a room open to make some extra money by booking another party if necessary. I hope it works out in your favor. Hopefully they will gain some business sense and realize that if they make you upset you will never recommend them to anyone and in the end they will lose business.

Well they booked a Sweet Sixteen. I am not happy about it because we booked 2 years ago and what kind of place (who doesn't need any more bad press if you know what I mean) would book a Sweet Sixteen the same time as the wedding? They gave us some add on's and Scatto has taken our account personally. My biggest issue right now is they tried to convince my parents to convince me to do the rehearsal the day of. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE MY FH! Christ, I know many 'modern brides' see the FH before to do pictures but I do not want that. I want that moment where we lock eyes for the first time as bride and groom. And it makes me angry that instead of just accommodating our rehearsal he wanted me to change my mind. Already the rehearsal is 2 days before instead of the say before but whatever. I am also kind of particular because we are walking down to a song and I have to watch it to make the cues happen. I know I sound crazy but I really am not! Seriously the last thing I want is to be walking to the bathroom and for some 16 year old girl posse to be screaming in the hallway. I mean I will deal with it, but I am really disappointed in them.

I'm sorry that you aren't the only person there but I was told that there can be up to 2 weddings and another event going on the same day as my wedding.
At least they are throwing things in for you. As for the rehersal I would stick to your guns and have it a few days before. DH & I did not see each other until they opened the church doors and it was the greatest thing ever.

I wouldn't mind if we were told before hand that we would be sharing the place, but we were told we'd have the downstairs because it was a thursday and they'd move any event upstairs. But they are accommodating us. And I will definitely be sticking to my guns, I am not seeing my FH before the ceremony, everyone can get over it.

Re: Westbury Manor Girls
yea i called to booked out rehearsal and they don't typically do rehearsals was what i was told They said you typically do them an hour before hand and I DONT have to be there... really, i dont?!
They can't promise me we can go there with our BP and rehearsal until June... which reminds me is NOW so i'm going to call again.
Thoughts? FH & I are seeing another for pictures before hand but i was thinking of doing a rehearsal two days before the wedding then dinner with the BP... OR should i just have the BP and FH do the rehearsal an hour before the wedding?
Is anyone else having a rehearsal there?

I am doing the rehearsal on Tuesday the 2nd (My day is Thursday the 4th) and we are still doing dinner the night before. The WM even told me that we can do the rehearsal anywhere. We are going for pictures beforehand but not seeing each other. Like him and his family are going to get pictures, me and my family are, me and the girls, him and the boys all separate. Then we'll do a couple big group shots after the ceremony and then the rest of the BP is going to cocktail hour and we're getting our posed pictures.

I think it's so stupid that they don't schedule rehearsals there. Well at least that's what they told me. I mean come on what bride and groom doesn't want to rehearse, its not like they done it before... ugh I wanted to have a rehearsal there and then go to dinner with the bp and family. Let me know if you end up having your rehearsal there.. I know someone who complained soo much and said she already planned it that they ended up giving it to her.. Why don't they just include rehearsals?? soo dumb.
