My fiance and I went over their reception menu last night to see what we liked and didn't like. We have always said that the Viennese hour would be a waste of food. WM is able to do a Mini Viennese with pastries, cookies and fruit in addition to their 1 dessert option and wedding cake. Do any of you think it will look inexpensive or little? I don't want to offend anyone on here. I'm a huge dessert lover but I feel as though it will be a waste of food and money to have a full viennese plus some people think it's the end of the reception and leave. Does anyone have pictures of the mini viennese? Calling all Westbury Manor brides, did you have the same thoughts?

Crashing....
I am booked with Westbury Manor. We opted out doing the Viennese for the same reason as you. Our wedding is on a Sunday evening and I didnt see people staying all the way through for that. We have the wedding cake, a dessert and the chocolate fountains. I think the wedding cake and the 1 dessert option is more than enough.

Re: Westbury Manor Viennese
They actually threw in the mini viennesse when we booked... they said they'd put it out with cordials and stuff in the library (I'm in the Garden Room). I was really excited about that, I'm sure they won't make it look cheap. I also think Viennesse is so fun but definitely way too much food for the amount of guests I'm having. I say see if you can bargain over it... I think it's a nice touch!

They are throwing in the mini Viennese as part of the package. I just didn't know how they would set it up. Thanks for the input and for letting me know. I'll have the garden room too. I'm actually going there tonight to do a food tasting and possibly book it if we like it. From one WM bride to another, did they throw in anything else? It can't hurt to try right? ??

Re: Westbury Manor Viennese
My cousin got married at WM and had the full viennese. I have to admit it was gorgeous. It was in the summer and there were candles and tables set up like the cocktail hour. After about a half hour they asked everyone to come back in the room and the dance floor was packed again. That was my experience there.

Re: Westbury Manor Viennese
I was in the smae position FH wanted the full thing, i wanted my dance floor packed. We opted to creat our own. We did nto take their cake (we didn't like it at tasting) and they threw in chocolate fountains, we also have mini V, and plated dessert, they also threw in the ice cream bar. So we have wedding cake, pastries and cookies on tables, coffee cordial bar, ice cream bar, chocolate fountains, and plated dessert. As for add ons after the contract is created, we added the take me home option. we figured people woudl rahter have something to go for the ride home or when they get home, so they will get 4 items plus a drink when they leave. We will get our wedding cake form the Cake Gallery in Bellmore, (Amazing cakes!)
i hope this helps!

Re: Westbury Manor Viennese
You guys did a tasting? I heard you just taste at the showcase, I guess unless you request to have one if you aren't sure. I also don't know how they are going to set up the mini one. They said it would be in the library with cordials, coffees, etc. and that sounded perfect to me and I love that library so I wasn't worried. I figured at the next showcase they may have it set up. I was kind of worried people would leave the dance floor to hang out in the library but I love the cordials and everything and I trust the DJ will keep the party going. I also love the rooms there and want to take advantage of having the two rooms!

They didn't throw anything else in... I even said right away - no Viennesse because there is dessert AND cake anyway and they said, 'We throw in the mini one anyway with the cookies, etc' (And we were snacking on some cookies at the meeting lol) I didn't even try to get anything extra, I'm the WORST haggler. My stepdad did help me with the price though because the last weekend of April was booked and I kind of wanted that so I got the price a little lowered since it was the very beginning of peak season. At the next showcase I'm bringing my haggling skills for the sushi lol

I need to bring in my hagglin skills too. So I have a mini viness platter as well, thats what they threw in for me... I have an evening wedding, and it's lasting until 1;30pm, I can't afford a big vienn. But I am a big sweets fan, If i could I would ice cream for breakfast lol, just an example. I think i will be bringing in some sweets as well... stuff I like......... I think a mini viennesse is just enough
