Westbury - Salsbury area

Anyone know anything about this area?

East Meadow School District....

Yes, we started looking at houses over there for awhile.

East Meadow schools are decent actually - :)
You just have to be careful about where you're looking there - it's weird....some people are turned off by that little section near the Jail... but then you go in more near Bowling Green Elementary and it's very residential and nice there....

Ummm...in other areas near this little circle (Flower Street) there are like seven houses or something for sale in this one section. FH and I don't think it's a coincidence either. So we left it alone -

A friend bought a house off of Salisbury Park Dr. and these Salisbury Estates that are gorgeous!!!!
She totally redid her house and it looks awesome and the area is very nice - as is Barnum Woods section.

I really don't know too too much more about the area...but definitely something to consider.

There is an area in that section with several blocks of Levitt ranches, just off Sals. Park Drive. We thought about buying something over there.

My Brother in law lives in this area. His kids go to these schools. All I have to say is beautiful schools and area

I live in Westbury (but Carle Place schools). I've heard good things about the East Meadow SD. Beautiful homes in Salisbury too-- for our first house we were seriously considering that neighborhood.

A very good friend of mine lives there, off of friends lane (off of Salisbury) He has a levitt & loves it. The neighborhood is great & he went to the east meadow schools.

My In-laws live off of Salisbury Park Drive in a very residential area. It is a very nice neighborhood. The E. Meadow school districts are pretty good. When we were looking we were told to look for E. Meadow schools, not Westbury. Unfortunately, all the houses in that area (the split-levels) were in the mid-500s. More then we were willing to spend.

Trust me you do NOT want Westbury schools-- one of Nassau Cty's worst districts! If you're going to buy in Westbury it's gotta be East Meadow or Carle Place schools.

I teach in E. Meadow SD (and there's another teacher from the district on the boards too). Salibury Park section is beautiful and the area around Bowling Green and Woodland are nice too!
