What 2 Tip??

for the MD & BA, my hall had 'recommended' amounts to suggest to us... it was a range per head amount.. That helped us because we had no clue. I forget the amounts now (I *think* it was $1-$3 per guest suggested for the Maitre'd), but I remember I went with the middle of the range at about $2 per head. THe BA was less..

I have read on here that some other halls have suggested way more and some others way less, so your best bet may be to either check with your Banquet Manager or other Fox Hollow brides.

your RH should give you an estimate of what to tip the MD. It's usually $2-3 per person for the MD. As for everyone else, it's up to you. I followed the average of what I read others giving. The Bridal Attendant I gave $100 (she was very good!), the 2 head photogs I gave $100 each, the assistant i gave $50, the videographer i gave $75, the emcee, dj, percussionist and zap pic photog i think i gave each $50. HTH!

I saw M-D recommendations of $1-3, $3-4, and $2-4 pp depending on the hall at various places I looked at.
I'm curious what others are tipping for bridal attendants but if they're good and they are on top of things they can have whatever! I'm probably tipping my photographers (1 photographer, 1 assistant) about $100, they're the owners but I want to make sure my photo retouching goes well and I'm doing a trash the dress shoot with them after as well. If I ask them to do a lot of retouching and stuff then when I tip for the 2nd shoot I'll give more because on the 2nd shorter shoot I'd probably give $50-$75 it's so short.
The DJ's we're undecided about an amount because it's largely based on performance.

so i have a question regarding tipping- so the girl who is doing my hair and makeup is coming to me- but this is her side business and basically she gets all the $$$$- do you still tip her cause its a service or shes the owner of the so called 'side business 'so you dont?????
