FH got laid off yesterday.

uuughhhh I am so sorry to hear that - so many people at my company got laid off last week - thankfully i was spared.

He worked for a small company and was the last one hired so he got the first boot. This economy is scary. They laid of 3 managers at my job this week and HR says there are more to come. Everyday we all go in wondering if it is the end. So scary. The time that should be a happy one for me and FH is now a little depressing but we have time so I am just going to keep on praying.

At my co this was the second round of layoffs and there is really no more trimming they can do we are a pretty big commercial real estate company. the next step for us is the co being sold.

FH co it is just him and his boss left but he does the type of work where if his co is going to fold he would really know a month or so in advance. but he is hoping that he will be in the electrical union by next month so we are keeping our fingers crossed

FH is just finishing technical school in CT on Wednesday is going to take his low voltage license test soon. So hopefully he wont be unemployed for a long time.

I work in Real Estate too. We are a big company but with the market the way it is the company is losing a lot of money. Every quarter so far in the last 6 months there have been manager lay off and some AA lay offs.
