Re: What a naughty day....

congrats... and just to let you know... the Riu in Aruba is A-FREAKING-MAZING

We didn't stay there... we did a walk through and were in complete awe the whole time.

Not sure if you've been there before but Aruba itself is an amazingly romantic island.

NUMBER 1 romantic place (in my opinion) to go have dinner... Flying Fishbone. Absolute must go. If you tell them it's a special occasion they'll give you seats IN the water. Not ON the water... but IN! And the food is just incredible. I can't say enough about this place. There were other amazing places but in all our travels (not that we've done a lot) and all our eating outs (which we have done a lot of) ... this place ranked number one hands down.

if you want any more reviews, FM me.

Re: What a naughty day....

I'm going to write this first and then see if I can post pics...

Be prepared to drive and not get any specific directions to this place. The locals think it's enough to say 'turn down the fork in the road at the blue house'... it's an interesting drive if you go at night. But so worth it.

You walk through to the front of the restaurant which looks like any normal restaurant but when you continue to walk through to the tables, there's no back wall... it just stretches out onto the sand and to a few tables right into the water. They make you take your shoes off... roll up your pants if you're wearing any.. and sit down. Your feet are probably ankle high in the water while you eat. It's just an amazing experience.

While we were there I happend to look down and see a huge crab looking up at me... I of course jump up and the waitress asks me if I'm ok.. I of course exaggerate the size of the crab and she says 'oh... a crab? I thought you might have seen the local baracuda' Oh... baracuda... how nice. I proceed to eat my meal with my feet on my chair. It was a conversation starter for sure and we ended up leaving getting to know several of the couples around us. I did see the baracuda by the way... but he doesn't come close to the people...
with that said... i hope that doesn't scare you away from going. It's beautiful and the food is excellent.

And now my attempt at pictures:
