Every time I go to a wedding I look for those nice touches. Last wedding I went to , the bride left air fresheners in our car! What make you think ' wow that was a nice touch!' at a wedding?

Re: 'what a nice touch!'
Everyone loved the older generations wedding photos...we even found a wedding photo that had almost all of my family at my grandmother's wedding. I made sure to put little name cards by the pics so that everyone know who the pic was of and how they were related to us!
All the other touches, Russo provided! Fireworks at the viennese hour, roasted nuts and water as people left, coat check numbers for people that were taking food home so that the food would be waiting for them on their way out...

the two things I keep getting compliments on at the wedding as being unique are... personalized rose petals spread out on the tables the inked rose and flip flop baskets

I'm having a basket of shawls for the ladies - our ceremony and CH are going to be outside (hopefully) and on the water, so thought those would be useful. Also going to have bathroom baskets.

I really wanted to do the air fresheners because I thought that would be an amazing touch but my FH vetoed me on it. We are putting out matchbooks and napkins that are personalized. I think the most exciting part of our wedding are the surprises we have planned for the reception. My FH is having his groomsman wear lettered boxers and when they pull down their pants it will say 'JUST MARRIED!' and I am surprising my FH with a Flash Mob dance to 'I've Got a Feeling'. I think those types of surprises are going to be the best.

That sounds like one of the You Tube videos! I want to do something like that, too, but the groomsmen are all really shy.

We were wanting to have the valet place air freshners in the cars of our guest.

Re: 'what a nice touch!'
At my wedding everyone talked about
1) The photo booth, it was live, so my father got a picture with his siblings, his work friends, everyone. Everyone got a family portrait, a couple picture, anything they wanted. Plus I had props to make it fun.
2) Our table names. We did not number the tables. My husband and I love Charlie Brown & The Peanuts so all of our tables were 'Love is....' Like 'Love is only being a phone call away' or 'Love is hating to say goodbye' those were tables for out of town relatives. 'Love is eating together with your whole family' Was his family because they all fit at one table pretty much! Our table was 'Love is getting up the nerve to talk to the little girl with the red hair' (I am a redhead by choice). We printed them on squared card stock that was light pink and went with all of the other decor
3) Our mailbox. We wanted a mailbox to hold our cards that was personalized. My MIL painted Charlie Brown and the Little Red Haired Girl on it, him kissing her cheek with 'Mr. & Mrs. Coiro' underneath it.
4) Our ceremony. April Gismondi is the best, and we wrote our own vows. The men in the crowd were bawling - that says it all!
5) Our place cards. We typed them on clear labels because of the table names. We also put people's nick names on it - while it is a formal event, we have a big family (mine, now it is ours :) ) and I wanted to make it special for everyone.
If you throw your personality into your wedding it always comes out so much better.

Re: 'what a nice touch!'
everyone loved our channa plaque ( we had several guests ask for her info, and luckily she includes a business card on the back), our card box from FTMB, our VH take home boxes, our place card holders & and bride & groom pops, our programs, and best wishes box.
