Re: What about Cake Toppers?
I saw these really cute ones ages ago, and I can't find them again. They were crystal dancers which don't really look like a bride and groom

Re: What about Cake Toppers?
Beautiful cake Lisaat. I think we are going to decorate the cake with flowers only, but I am buying the Forunoff Cake topper of the bride Strangling the Groom and placing it on the side of the cake.

Mary Moo bride and groom for the cake topper. I've been collecting them forever. I just hope it's not too heavy.

Re: What about Cake Toppers?
I don't think I am having a cake topper because the whole cake will be a castle..

Re: What about Cake Toppers?
Stacy,I thought of just having flowers too but then saw the topper & fell in love with it. With all the others I saw I kept coming back to the one I got. First, I like the arch because we are getting married at the reception site which will have an archway there. Second the groom has on tails which my FH will wear and really the most important reason.....the bride & groom have no distinctive characteristics such as hair color or length or eye color. Most toppers have the bride with either long black or blonde hair neither of which I have. I have short brown hair with blond highlights.

Re: What about Cake Toppers?
you don't NEED one. You could use flowers or nothing if you don't want anything. It is your day & your cake!

Re: What about Cake Toppers?
i agree! and i really like the flowers idea, thanks for sharing that beautiful picture! I also cannot wait to see the castle cake!!another idea, if anyone is still looking for ideas, is sugar coated fruit, it can be really beautiful and also very natural looking. i can imagine that it doesn't sound all that nice, but with good icing decorations and then lots of different fruits (like grapes, strawberries, peaches) it can be very colorful. A girlfriend of mine did it last year at a garden wedding and the icing was basket weave so the cake looked like one big fruit basket. it was very cool and different. for what its worth!
