What about favors ladies

have you all decided on what favors yous will be giving out? I've been searching high and low for something different, any recommendations?

I attended a wedding in October where the favor I received was so unique and different. Throughout the ceremony a seperate photgrapher came around and took pics of every guest. You could take it as a couple or family....whatever you wanted. At the time u didnt know what you were taking the pic for. At the end of the night everyone got a 5x7 of the picture in a frame (like a cardboard frame would be the best way to explain it). On the frame it said 'with love and thanks' and then the bride and grooms name and date. It was so nice and something I will keep and not throw in a drawer with all the wine topper favors that everyone and their mother gives out. This was about $500 I believe. Another good idea that i saw at bridal show was an old time photo booth. They actually bring a booth to ur hall. The one you go in witha friend or bf and make silly faces and stuff. With thsi u get unlimited black & white/color pics for the night. They print out immediatley and in between the two rows of photos it says ur name and date. There 6 pics in total on the print out. It is nice quality and I actually used the booth at the show. TWO downsides. On the pics in addition to having ur name and date it has the company logo in red next to ur name. Kind of tacky looking. Second it is $1600 if i remember correctly. I can find out if anyone wants to know. FH and I like both ideas.............not sure what we will decide on.

so far I've seen a couple of things I like alot, The LOVE coasters, A small bottle of berrylicious champagne from Franklyn Hill Vineyards (from the Poconos), a coffee spoon w/ heart on it and the heart measuring spoons, Haven't decided on what yet though....

I think we're going to make CD's and then just give M&M's like this picture. Our color theme is brown and pink so we would do brown and pick M&M's and our inititals are M&M so it's perfect.

I was thinking of doing this also as a little extra for the table. My colors are pink and green so i will do them. Also you can get them personalized with the date or anythign you want on the other side. You just go to www.shop2.mms.com. I like those boxes and ribbon. Do you know where they are from or did you just find the pic??

There is no set number... u don't even have to give one if you don't want.... it's just traditional IMO.

We are giving one....

personalized m&ms in our wedding colors which say our name and wedding date and putting them in heart tins and wrapping them nicely with silk flowers, all in our colors (lavendar and mint green).

We figured people will eat the candy and its not something that most people will throw out - so we we weon't go all out on the favors....

These are very cute!! I am doing coasters and I may do candy in a box somthing like the last post with card attached for table seating.

Technically the rule is 1 favor per invitation. If we had to give 2 per couple then i would end up with almost 700 favors. Thats just crazy.

my favors are going to be porcelain figurines form Enesco's Circle of love collection. They are a bit pricey but very different. I already ordered them. Im so excited.

I have a couple of ideas. My FSIL has a cookie/baking business and has offered to do the sugar cookies frosted and stacked to look like a wedding cake (Martha Stewart did them on her show). I'm not sure if these will be a shower favor or maybe something we will put out at the end of the wedding to take home. I also like the small silver bells. It will be a few weeks before Christmas and I thought they would make great ornaments.
