What about Military Discounts

I saw someone wrote asking about NYPD discounts so I was wondering if anyone knew of Vendors who offered discounts to the military. My FH is deployed in Afghanistan. I always feel silly asking about military discounts

My husband is army and no one gave us a military discount. Honestly I think they should lol

there are quite a few vendors that do even throw in stuff sometimes.

like i said in the other post you never know unless you try.... whats the worst that happens they say no?

My DH was in Iraq while I was planning our wedding and I told all of our vendors that. We didn't get a discount but we did have written into every contract that if his deployment was extended that we could reschedule without penalties for the next mutually agreeable date.

My DH/FH is in Iraq right now and when we booked our hall we told them he was in the military. The guy took a couple $'s off our per head

And when FH deployed he had to extend several months and we had to change our wedding from Sept to Dec and they did that without penalty.

Also...we added extra time onto our reception and got it for free when we mentioned he was going to Iraq and got some other stuff thrown in or lowered prices from vendors....def worth a try!!!!!!!!

above and beyond - they are a corrdinartor, invite shop, etc.

ALWAYS Throw in the military.My Fh is in the airforce and so far every vendor besides the church gave us something off or free..... It never hurts to mention it !

it's definitely worth a shot...my husband is deployed now, so he was away training while I was planning the wedding in NY and I mentioned it to every vendor. Almost every one gave us a discount, including our hall.

i agree to always mention it! i dont think i got any discounts but i got stuff thrown in for free. also, we were able to move the entire wedding back a month with no penalty when he went away again. thankfully they all had the date!
