what acually needs o be done

I keep seeing different posts about seing up receptions, writeing place cards, DOC etc. This might sound naieve but does the hall do any of this?
ie:
-setting up tables (including placing favors, place card table etc)
-Providing table numbers and their stands

at these kind of hings expeced that you are going to take care of, or hire a DOC for. (Before looking at posts i didnt even consider a DOC, i dont really understand exactly what heir role is)

an RH wont write your place cards...They do set up your tables, the florists will help with the cp's and the rest the RH will do, yes they will put the favors and place cards on the table.

They do have table numbers with stands, but alot of brides like something different than the table numbers that their RH provides so they make or get their own table numbers.

The hall will set up these things for you, but a DOC is kind of there to make sure EVERYTHING runs smoothly and everything is done the way you want it.

I have a huge list of things for my DOC to do for me that day (setting up the pew bows at the church, setting up my CPs, making sure all my vendors are there on time and doign what they need to do, etc.). Of course, a DOC is not a necessity, but i have to say....it definately eases my mind knowing she'll be there and he SOLE job is to make sure everything is perfect. I'm so confident that she'll be great that I'm actually at the point where I'm not really worrying about anything

I'm having my own special table numbers made up--it's a fun and fairly inexpensive way to personalize your wedding. Some people do cute pictures, such as photos of themselves holding numbers, or they have numbers that match their invitations and other paper good (which is what I'm doing), or you can name your tables instead of numbering them. We thought about naming the tables for places we've visited, but then realized we haven't visited that many places! Unless we start putting in towns in New Jersey where we've gone to visit friends, alongside Block Island, Chicago and Orlando.

But, yeah, as others have said, the rehearsal hall is supposed to put out all your stuff, and the DOC takes care of making sure all that stuff is done correctly. I don't want to spend the money so I'm enlisting OOT friends who are coming to stay but aren't in the bridal party to make sure things are done. One friend--pew flowers and other reception decorations. Another: framed pictures. Third: centerpieces and candles. But, I'm OK if everything isn't perfect. I know that at least one thing will get messed up, it's inevitable. Besides, I plan on being so happy at getting married to my darling that I won't care that some pictures don't end up on a mantle. Oh well! As long as we're married.

do u think you could FM who you are using and around how much it is costing....bc I really want to look into getting one :)
