i just called about a FSBO home. man answers 'yeah' i said, 'hi, um i'm sorry, i am calling in reference to your house that is advertised in newday. he says, 'my wife isn't here, what house are you talkin 'bout? what town? i told him the town and he responds, 'honey, you are going to have to call back because my wife isn't here.'

I ran into this too when I looked. Some couples buy homes and fix them up and sell them for a living. It sounds like this is what this family is doing. Not selling their own house, but selling other houses they had bought and invested in. The wife seems to be in charge. We had one house like this.

i called back again, same guy, same 'yeah' answering of the phone. i told him who i was and why i was calling and asked for the wife, he says 'hold on dear' she answers the phone and says 'can i help you' i said, 'yes i am calling about the house that you have advertsied' she says, 'yeah', i pause, and then she says, 'can you call back in a month, the ad went in too early'

i pit my tongue and politely responded 'um, forget it i am not interested, good luck to you!'
