Dina
Marketing Sales Manager
grew up on Long Island, now live in Jersey City
I drink wine. I am actually a wine buff- one of those people that goes to vineyards. I like reds the best- but have been branching into French Whites (but NOT Chardonny) and Portuguese Vino Verdes. I also like to drink Port after a good meal (Sage can attest to this).

I drink a glass of wine pretty much every day when I get home from work.

Apple Martinis and Kettle One and Club
Trendy and (without meaning to) you might have the tendency to be a bit on the judgemental side.
You probably size women up at bars and have probably on more than one occasion been desribed as 'unapproachable','dominant' and maybe somewhat of a snob.
(again, none of this is meant to offend. I'm sure you're neither a snob, or unapproachable...though people might just assume you are sometimes)

You probably check the Zagat when you're looking for a restaurant to try out and you're probably the kind of person that ALWAYS makes sure you look good on a night out...as oppposed to the throw on a sweathshirt and some sneakers kind of girl.
You like to look good. Always.
And if you could you would stay at home and be a complete princess and you see absolutely nothing wrong with being taken care of by the man in your life...isn't that his job?

Re: WHat are 3 things you would like to know?

Dirty Martinis.
Probably a bit of a wild child, have always been the kind to NOT go along with the crowd and you might have been one of those people in high school or when you were younger to SWEAR that you would never be a sell out to society and instead you'd be kind of bohemian and just do whatever you needed to do to get by at any given point in time.
And then you grew up so now you're FORCED to be responsible but chances are you still have a bit of a crazy streak in you. And chances are it's a side of you that only your friends see now and then because you've already put on a different face to please the corporate crowd that you sometimes feel trapped in.

I only know one person that drinks dirty martinis...definately marches to a beat of a different drum...

You sound like my DH. Except you probably have more of a personality since you're in Marketing.

Well...to be in Marketing Sales you'd have to be outgoing and very social...almost chameleon, like the kind that can adapt to whoever you seem to be schmoozing at any point in time.

Wine buffs and ESPECIALLY port drinkers have been known to be a bit on the stuck up side...but they're only considered stuck up by people that assime that because you're a wine afficionado you MUST be pretentious.

Which SOMETIMES you can be. But, really that's the farthest from the truth. You like expensive restaurants and fine dining but you're not really a snob. You probably just started off with reds, became an avid wine drinker and decided to learn more about it because you're personality is such that you want to know as much as you can about everything. And chances are you know a little bit about everything as well so that you can always carry on a conversation with anyone, no matter what it is they seem to be talking about.

Port's good stuff.

Here's another for ya!

Summer drink: Tanqueray tonic
Winter drink: Stoli vanilla and Diet Coke
'Everyday' drink (not really EVERY day though!): red wine, preferably pinot noir

Work in DC as a marketing manager for higher education.

Oldest of 3 children, originally from Commack, LI (think you knew that one already. )

Re: WHat are 3 things you would like to know?

Can't read the Stoli O and 7...but I'd probably *assume* the same as vodka tonic...except more on the trendy side as opposed to classic...like Express or bebe or something like that.

You used to be more of the quiet type in high school but have since found yourself and are very comfortable in your own skin. And you used to be in choir. HAA!
Getting out of Commack was the best thing that you ever did, you feel like you're experiences have really halped you grow into someone a lot more self assured and confident than what you once were.
(tanqueray is a very self assured drink, BTW)

Even though you consider yourself an adult (wine every day), you still have a very young girly side sort of the hang out with your friends and giggle about stupid stuff sort of thing (stoli vanilla and diet coke)

I'm totally reaching on this one, BTW...

You all need to leave me alone already, I usually have one drink, I do not drink much b/c I know I cannot handle it, I am usually the designated driver.

Susan you are too funny

Most of it sounds close but the cliquey part...no

I reread yous a couple of times.

YOU CAN DRINK. A LOT.

You can more than hold your own, are definately not a lightweight and can probably drink some men under the table (and you have)

All those drinks are pretty agressive drinks (especially the Newcastle), so combined with your job, I'd say extremely assertive and self-assured, someone that's out to prove herself, maybe a work-a-holic and one of those 'just because I'm a woman don't underestimate my power' kind of person.
You've probably work harder than the people around you just to prove that you're just as good or better and what you drink reflects that attitude (sort of like 'the guys all drink Coors, but I DRINK NEWCASTLE, so HA!')

Men are afraid of you. And rightly so.
