what are eveyone's New Yrs plans?

I know we have another month and a half to go, but I want to start planning something fun for me and FH to do.

Last yr we went to Stowe, VT which was the most awesome New Yrs in my entire life.
This yr obviously we cant afford to go anywhere, little along Stowe

So what are everyone planning? I need ideas!

we go to our friends house. his parents have a big party every year. best part, we currently live around the block so no driving necessary

all of our friends just had babies so none of them can throw any parties or go to someone else's house party.

ppl w/house parties: plz invite me and FH, we are fun and never get too carried away with drinking (well FH doesnt, me I just dont puke )

I don't go out that night. I either go to a house party and crash there or have a few people over at FH's house.
IMO New Year's is Amateur Drinking Night and people get too stupid...lots of drunks on the road.

Last year we were on our way to a party and it was fekkin' COLD so we stopped at a liquor store for booze, grabbed a pizza, and stayed at his place with some friends. And it was AWESOME.

ITA!!!! There are a ton of bars in my relative neighborhood so I think its too dangerous to drive. I am so looking forward to the next New Years when we have have our own house and can throw a party (*knock wood*)

not sure. depending on price might go to a catering hall thing. those are fun. it just depends on price.

i do know what im doing a week later tho....spending the night at fox hollow!! for my bday!! woot woot!

I usually go to my friends house for NYE but this year I want to do something different. FH and I are considering spending New Years at Coral House. Tickets are $100/pp and there is open bar, buffet dinner... Its the next best thing to having our wedding there..

our friend throws a party every year but this year hes doing it on a yacht and i get really sea sick so i dont wanna spend my night puking

so i have no clue what we will do since all our friends will be doing that.

Ugh, I'll probably be by my lonesome again or with my sis and her kids. FH always has to work on NYE because he works for the LIRR. Last year we watched the ball drop on the phone together. It kinda stunk!

I'd love to have a party at our place...but we are driving home from Ohio on the 28th (which will take allllllllll day) and the 30th is my birthday...which means I'd have to roll myself out of bed after driving for 12 hours the day before to get everything together for the party on the 29th....I don't see that happening, so I guess as of now we have no plans.

We stay in and usually make baked ziti and watch the NYE countdown. It sounds boring but after all the holiday craziness, I love doing nothing on NYE.. (I know, I'm an old hag). haha
