I love Direct TV....I have had it for a long time and never had any real problems or complaints with it.

Isn't direct T.V. satellite?

Direct TV is satellite....we still get all of the local channels even though it is satellite though which was important for me.

Oh Good, maybe you can help me then!

They gave me 2 boxes and only 1 works. When I called up they told me they only sent me 1 I HAVE TWO

Then last night I called up and told then I wanted to add FX and HBO. The girl said if you get the silver package you can have both. Well, I still dont have FX....

I could go on and on and on and on and on and on

I don't think that's THAT bad. I'm sure it can be resolved, Fh has cablevision and he has had zero problems with it.

They got my name wrong 3 times on my bills. I repeatedly called to have it fixed.

They made and appointment with my FH to come and install it and then they didnt come. They said we werent home and he was. We rearranged our schedule to be there.

I could go on and on and on. All since April

I disagree.

I also disagree, we just switched back to cable. We have been having HUGE problems with DTV for the past year with no satisfaction to resolve it

Why should you ignore it - you are paying for it. If its their fault then they should fix it.

If my cable doesnt work and Im paying for it I expect it to be fixed. Its just one things after another.

Well if they think that you only have one box, that is the reason why only 1 is working. The serial number for each box needs to be on the account in order for it to work. so I would call up and ask them if they have the two serial numbers listed.

After you got the Silver package are you getting HBO and not FX or not getting both? I would try to reboot the box, by unplugging it for a few seconds. Then plug it back in and let it sit for a few minutes so it can boot back up. HTH!!!!

Let me know if you have any more questions

We've had directv for 1.5 years. We've had NO problems. We had service during the big snowstorms when our neighbors with cablevision lost their service. We have 3 boxes and each tv can watch something separate.

We currently use cablevision for internet but are going to switch to verizon dsl. There's some package now for new direct tv customers and new verizon dsl customers.

But if you have had Direct TV for 1.5 years then you aren't a new customer. You might not be entitled to it.
