What are my options besides cablevision?

I HATE them with a capital H!!! Hate hate hate... I could go into it, but I have just had it and I wont. Lets just say its been one problem after another after another after another.

We would like FX, HBO and the military channel along with the regular 2 - 13. Any recoomendations on who can provide this?

I am paying over $100 for cable and internet.

The frustration with the box is just that I asked for 2 boxes, I got 2 boxes and then hooked them both up. They both worked for about a week. Then the one in my room stopped working. I called cablevision and they didnt believe me. They kept saying you only have ONE box. Im like ' I am looking right at the second one!' The guy just couldnt believe it. He only has one on my records.

He said I need to bring it down to Port Jeff to have it registered or something. Of course Im going to do it but its just yet ANOTHER thing to do

I'll try to reset the box with the one that works and Ill get back to you.

Oh and I just had the basic 2- 13 and the package with the military channel. Last night I asked to add HBO and FX. She told me FX was in the family package and HBO is seperate but I could have both if I payed extra for the silver package. So I did that. But Im not getting ANYTHING from the family package

Wait you only have channel 2-13? Don't you need a digital box for the others? Isnt that different?

yes, I have a box for the others. One works and one doesnt.

I disagree.

Not a fan of DirectTV..I think they all stink to a certain degree.

I don’t “love” Cablevision either. I think it’s terrible that we don’t have any other option (aside from satellite) like Time Warner, etc.

If you go down to the Port Jeff location. They should be able to straighten everything out. I know that it is a hassle. Let me know how it works out!!

I meant that she might be able to take advantage of the promotion. I know I can't, but Verizon is still cheaper than Optimum Online.

With DirectTV, do you have to have a box hooked up to each TV in the house to have the table pick up cable channels??

Right now we have IO, some of the TVs have boxes some dont... but they all have the same channels on them... you just cant use the special IO things on the TVs without the box...
