I second Leonards they are really close to NYC, but in a nice area on LI. The place is beautiful and the food is great. Look into having a friday wedding too, you get the same thing as a Sat, but for a lot cheaper. Good luck!!!

The Swan Club in Roslyn, the Stewart Manor Country Club in Stewart Manor may be affordable and are not far out on the Island.

What about John Anthony's in Babylon or VIlla Lombardi's in Holbrook. If you go with a Friday or SUnday, there is a big difference.

Also what about Capt Bills in Bayshore, I heard that is nice too.

I used Sunset Harbour in Patchogue. It is right on the water and we were able to get some nice sunset shots. We booked for a friday in September and we got $10 off per head for booking on a friday. My wedding was Sept 27, 2002. So the pricing may have changed. We paid $55 which included the cake, center pieces, an ice sculpture, 4 dinner choice, a huge buffet for the cocktail hour. Are guest we surprised not only about the amount of food, but also how good it was. We also had an open bar. I had a special request for a specific beer and that was included too. They accommadated us for everything.
