What are some of the worst gifts you ever got?

I got a pair of pants one year from my SIL that she obviously just picked off the super clearance rack because they were those huge pants that hang off your butt. I would NEVER get caught wearing those.I brought them back to the store she got them to exchange for anything else.....the clerk told me I had $5- credit.

For years my inlwas would give me food for christmas, one year it was a pizza pan, with the dough and cheese, then another year it was panacke mix with vacumm packed sausage and bacon.. it got to the point where i didnt want to go there for fear of what they would get me!! LOL

uggly earring from who knows where = > totally not my taste

a 3lbs box of chocolates = > nice but not in that amount... ended up being a regift

as an adult it would have to be the white and baby pink granny square sweater I received from a former co-worker. Ironically this sweater would have been PERFECT for the co-worker.

as a kid it would have to be this weird long sleeve shirt made of polyesther and the whole front of it had a picture of a motorcylce racer you know with the dirt flying up. That was from an aunt and uncle:)

OMG!! Christmas this year, the first year being engaged had to take the cake with less than fabulous gifts!! Please don't take any of this that I am ungrateful, b/c I really appreciate any gift I get (I am a speech pathologist, and I appreciate dollar store gifts from my kids- it really is the thought..) However... This Christmas just took the cake... My parents usually shop all year, and are true sales hounds, so they get pretty great stuff, and a lot of it, for REALLY cheap.. well this year, they had a lot of work done to their house which infringed on their shopping time.. So I certainly did unwrap gifts like, apple cinnamon cheerios, and a whole box of canned goods- NO JOKE!!! Then, my aunt, who ALWAYS gives me awesome flannel Pj's of some sort.. gave me 2 christmas themed candy dishes. (I think engaged translates to 'don't get her fun stuff anymore), and my Future MIL, who usually gets me really nice things, gave me something, that no one can decide if it is a tablecloth, or a throw blanket!!!! I had to write a very ambiguous thank you for that one!!!

The worst had to be a college graduation gift I got from my ex-boyfriends parents. They were a re-gifted pair of earings. And the reason I knew they were re-gifted was that they were in an old box that was dusty, and the backs on the earings DIDN'T MATCH, aaannndd the posts were ALREADY WORN DOWN.

Of course on first glance they looked nice and I thanked them...I didn't realize any of this until I got him and took a good look at them. Cheap *******s.

My SIL also bought my DH a shirt one Christmas that looked like something out of a Janet Jackson video.It had like 10 zippers on it and it was a medium.He is a 2XL. What the @%@%$

I got a shirt once that had armpit stains on it!!! Couldn't believe it!!

Got an ugly teddy bear sweater. I was in high school, you don't wear those!!

2 years ago I got a sweater with sequins & bows on it like older women wear! It was hideous!

I once got a really pretty sweater that was a sixe XL Petite! I am an extra small and definitely not petite (5'7' tall)! I think she saw the sweater and liked it for me but didn't even bother to look at the size! And, thrown in the box was a package of candles that were obviously a re-gift. The reason I know that is because on the bottom of the package was a small piece of Christmas wrapping paper different from the paper it was wrapped for me in still attached!

One of the worst was from an ex-coworker. It was a black sweater different colored w/ neon stripes. TO make it worse she had another name tag on it (she thought she took it off) She didn't even buy it for me!!! TACKY!

I'll start off by saying that I hate fruity smells....in my home, in my perfume, no matter what - I hate fruity smells.

Well - EVERY YEAR from FH's family I manage to get a Victoria's Secret bath set of lotion, shower gel, body spray etc...AND EVERY YEAR it is a fruit smell. I have gotten apple, pear, rasberry...you name it!!

Oh well - every year I take it back and get a new bra!!!!

Ummm, you guys already heard this one, but two years ago (my 1st Christmas married to my husband) my MIL from Hell handed me a box with three X-Mas balls in it. One was an ornament that she 'made' for us (it was a steel ball that looked like the Islanders had used it for a puck - all dented and smashed in with our wedding picture hot glued to one side), the second was an ornament Bob's grandmother gave him when he was a child. It looked like it had something slimy and sticky all over the side of it. The third was an ornament his ex-girlfriend of like eight years ago gave him. It was personalized with 'all my love, Laurie X0X0X0X0X0'. As I opened them, she announced that she thought I would like them for my tree as her other DIL just snickered. I was also handed three taper candles and a package of fresh smelling papers for my drawers that she happily announced was a re-gift from her boss! Gee, thanks lady.....NOT!

My uncle's ex-witch girlfriend used to work at the makeup counter and used to give me little perfume or makeup freebies that used to say 'not for individual resale.' Ugh!

This year Future ILSbought me A bathrobe and Slippers (last year I got 2 bathrobes) and one of my gifts from FI this year was slippers Don't you think like you should talk to the son first to see what he is buying his FW???? My favorite Color is Purple so anything purple I guess she (FMIL) felt I needed to have! She Moved to Florida
(but her husband still lives hereand they are not divorced and she doesnt work so he sends her money everymonth but thats a whole other story!!!!!) I guess in Florida they sell wild things so she bought me 2 santa clause statues THAT ARE PURPLE! Ok purple is a nice color BUT NOT FOR SANTA!!!! SORRY!!!!! The worst though is anything from his grandparents who have TONS of money! they regift LIKE BAD! like when u regift give it to a person who doesnt know who bought it for you! They gave FSIL (we are like sisters) a gift I gave them the year before. This year I got this bright blue pocket book that a 13 year old would wear that says funky chunky on it. again one of
FH gift for me was A Coach bag and Wallet!!!!!!
Last year I got a bag that was hers and it still had a picture in it! LOL! so this year I went to target and bought a snowman plaque that cost 5 dollars I refuse to spend lots of money on them!!!!!! She Gave FSIL towels her aunt gave her and gave me Makeup bags that the same aunt gave her aunt was like WTF????? TOP THAT!!!! LOL
