It really freaks me out when I am changing a light bulb and the light comes on while I am turning it!

Here's a weird one: giant squid. I think they're absolutely terrifying. Whenever there's one on TV I have to change the channel. Good thing I don't see giant squid on a day-to-day basis!
Another one: driving. I absolutely hate it and will do almost anything to avoid it. This one's a little more of a problematic phobia than the giant squid one!

Shadows in the house ... if I'm alone I totally freak myself out that someone is just 'lurking' around the corner waiting with an ax!

Geez, it FREAKS ME out just to write it, but my ENTIRE family and close friends of my families will not EVER look at an OWL! We freak! Turns my stomach to see one. Some stupid superstitious thing that they are bad luck, but UGH! Grosses me out!

Scorpions!
Mind you, I have never been anywhere that I would’ve seen one in person, but when I was little I read this Nancy Drew book that took place in the desert, and someone put a scorpion in her room to scare her away from the mystery she was trying to solve. I have been terrified of them ever since.

I have this super sick fear of bats .. like if I was ever trapped in a cave with bats, I might just die from the horror of it all.
this comes from some Sidney Sheldon book I read a loooooooong time ago .. I cannot even remember the name. I was young, and it made a huge impression on me!

No, not my kitty, but I have one that kinda looked like that when he was a kitten. I have two full grown ones! And I think of them as my children!

And I thought of a couple of other strange things that freak me out. I hate anything greasy on my face. Maybe that comes from wearing glasses and having them slip around when I’m greased up, but I can’t ever use sunblock on my face unless it is VERY oil-free. And I hate stepping on sticky things – gum, soda spilled in the street, etc. I hate the sound and feeling of my shoe peeling off the ground with every step!

I hate when someone drags something across carpet - the noise kills me ! I agree with Jeannie - cleaning out the food from the sink/drain holder - yuck!!!
