What are the little things that make you happy?

For me, today they are:

Finding Aqua's profile and putting 'Barbie Girl' on my myspace. That song has a special place in my heart.

Showing DH how annoying it is to try to do housework when someone's trying to molest you. I think that I slapped his behind 20 times while he tried to unload the dishwasher and he said, 'Wow, I'm really annoying. I had no idea. I'm sorry.'

Spending time alone with my dh makes me happy. Also, having free time to tear up the sheets with him puts me in a good mood too. I am smiling a LOT today. LOL

Today, I'm in heaven. Well, I've been there since last night because...

My MIL, upon arriving from NY and inspecting the entire house, turned to me and said: wow Sasha, you really do a great job of keeping the house really clean. I know that's not easy with a puppy, a cat and taking care of my son. Everything is spotless.

I swear, I almost fainted. Is that not the best compliment one could get...as a woman...from their MIL?

And it gets better...

DH called me at work to say that his mom, after making breakfast and walking around the house (I'm guessing to inspect some more), told him: Sasha must work her butt off, the house is super clean. You'd never know that there were pets living here.

*SWOON* So worth me breaking my back all weekend in preparation for this visit!!

Normally:

Getting my macchiato EXTRA HOT, as I requested it. Not 'normal hot'. I love EXTRA!!

Getting Trivial Pursuit Totally 80's for my b-day. That like, totally made my year!!

When I am successful at giving DH the atomic wedgie.

When my coffee cart guys have my coffee ready for me when I get there.

That's just today.

The little things??? This is great!

Waking up & realizing it is SATURDAY!!!!

today is tough, I have lady issues... BLECK. I feel like icky poopie.

and my hair is all it's all time WORST.

but I am getting a cut and dye job tonight - and new hair style = me happy.

I just discovered the ALL Tori Amos station on my AOL radio.

when I dropped off the Vicster this am at the LIRR, he said he was going to miss me today.

no doc and no office manager at work today

See, that's the beauty with the atomic wedgie. It's only possible if one is wearing older, ripable undies, which I am never in danger of doing.
DH on the other hand, he's always tetering on the edge.

-When DH is half asleep and puts his arm around me to pull me really close, then wimpers when I leave for work
-Not hitting any red lights on the way to work
-My neice & nephew's grins, and seeing what they've made for me, and watching them sing & dance
-All the food that I'm going to consume on Thursday!!

Another thing that's making me happy today:

someone made a starbucks run and came back with a grande skim latte for me

Getting a full night's sleep without waking up once

DH driving me to work and having enough time to go to Dunkin Donuts to have coffee together

Extra chai-y chai tea
When DH has leftovers from the night before, so no cooking for me!
When it is unseasonably warm
Snuggling with DH
When I don't get stuck at this one light on the way home twice (it is a doosey)
Christmas music - even in November
Silk Nog

Christmas music and Camel Toe.

When Victor has off on a weekend. He was home this past Saturday AND Sunday. Best weekend ever.

Ooh- and Liquid Lunch.

barbie song = genius. I have your profile blasting on my speakers right now. Do you remember when a radio station did a spinoff of this song, called 'Bimbo Girl.' It went: Come on bimbo do the limbo. I wish I remembered the rest.

Did you know that Vera Bradley makes dog collars and leashes?!?!?!?

ETA- This is my dog Busey's Christmas present

For me today - my parent's are driving in to celebrate the holiday with DH and I - our first as husband and wife! To me, nothing can be better than that!

My dog would totally have one, but he slips out of flat collars. He either wears a harness or a greyhound collar. I think we need a Vera leash, though.
