Awwww...... you guys, don't feel bad for me; my job is not hard - it can just be draining at times. I love what I do - although the whole 'glamour' thing was sucked out of the profession back in the seventies....

Sorry for the thread-hijack (no pun intended )

Stupid parents who think 'self-esteem' is giving in their children every time they get upset or need disipline!
Moronic administrators who are never proactive and hide in their office at the first sign of difficulty!
Piles of superfluous paperwork that may just bury me alive one of these days!

I work in a lab, so there are tons of hazards. Carcinogens, chemicals, etc. But I try to be smart and use substitutes when I can, and ALWAYS wear gloves/labcoat. One time before I learned this valuable lesson, I spilled a fixative all over my jeans and I had to take them off and ask FH to go home and bring me a pair. I had to walk around the lab with only a labcoat wrapped around my waist. Sure, it was then that I realized the necessity of labcoats!!!

Children doing the following:

-picking their noses
-bleeding
-sneezing
-throwing furniture, pencils, books, booksbags ETC
-kicking
-not bathing
-having pink-eye
-hitting

I work in a school/day treatment center with seriously emotionally disturbed and learning disabled kids. I have never been more sick and bruised as an adult until I worked here.

Getting paper cuts or plasic cuts or cutting myself with a knife. but the worst one would be getting hurt on the meat slicer like a co-worker did.

Yup. I have been sick about once a month this year. Germs are a big occupational hazard in schools.

This fits in my job! Kids telling you
'No'
'I Cant'
and oh, today I got pinched!
Oh BTW, I work with 2 year olds!
When its time to 'clean up' they tell me 'You do it'! Listen this is a classroom, Not your house! I feel like you can get away with it at home, but not here!
