Hey!!!

I am doing table names not numbers.

I purchased lovely 5x7 silver pewter frames from Odd job to help create them.

Re: What are you all doing for table numbers?

I didn't like what the hall has, so I am using these from Crate & BArrel (on sale !!)

I'm putting 8*10 navy cardstock, with 6*8 white paper glued on, with the table number

Do you want to know what our table number theme is ?

Re: What are you all doing for table numbers?

dubliner, I would like to know your theme and also what's the sale price of these ?

These arent for the tables tho' right? They are for the placecards, no?

I think they were $6 for 8. I just checked the website and they're gone

This months MS had them as the table number, so I'm going to give them a shot.

Our theme is On this date.... We found a lot of cool stuff happened on 5/25.
- Star Wars was released
- Hands accross America
- I got my citzenship
- Ireland got independance from Britan
- Mike Meyers was born
- Brooklyn Battery Tunnel opened

Re: What are you all doing for table numbers?

We are doing table names. The venue needs to have the numbers on the tables for the waiters, so what we agreed to is that I would put the number on the back of the card.

We are doing NYC landmarks. We haven't decided if we are going to use nice black and white postcards/pictures with the name written above or just write out the name with no photo. We were going to use frames but they would have had to been double sided. Instead we are doing something like the Crate and Barrel balls, the Silver Bell place card holders with a heart on top to hold the card. I saw them at Kate's Paperie, but Linda Lovelies has them for a much better price!

i was thinking about doing NYC landmarks as well!!! which ones are you planning on using? my other thought was doing all places that mean something to me and the FH, like where we had our first date, kiss, stuff like that.

Re: What are you all doing for table numbers?

We made a long list even though we only need about 15 tables. This way we will use the landmarks we find the best pictures for. We will also try to match up people to the tables when possible (Wall St. friends at the NYSE, my hotel friends at the Plaza, his Mom from the Bronx at Yankee Stadium, etc.)

Statue of Liberty
Empire State Building
Chrysler Building
Central Park
Flatiron Building
Met
Guggenheim
Woolworth Building
Madison Square Garden
Brooklyn Bridge
Worlds Fair Sphere
NYSE
Washington Square Arch
Wall Street Bull
Times square
The Plaza Hotel
UN Building
St. Patrick’s Cathedral
St. Cathedral
Grand Central
Ziegfield Theater
Pan Am Building
Park Avenue
Ellis Island
Yankee Stadium
Rockefeller Center
Radio City Music Hall
Carnegie Hall
Waldorf Astoria
Silvercup Studios
Lincoln Center

We named our tables after names of Long ISland Beaches to go with our beach themed wedding. My MOH printed the out on card stock in a blue font and I am putting them on the table using pewter seashell placecard holders.

I've heard of people who have named the tables after places they are going on their honeymoon.

FI originally wanted us to name the tables after songs and when the DJ played the song all of the people at that table would have to get up and dance. Not sure if we're going to do this...

My theme is flowers. So I went to Better Homes & Gardens and found flowers. My reception hall has the table cards in 4x6 frames. I cut and pasted about 20 flowers used the name of each of them and underneath I put the table numbers (for waiters). I printed them out on 4x6 Kodak picture paper. They came out colorful and cute.
