Relatively new to this but figured I'd throw this out and ask you guys what you are doing about kids at your wedding. I'm planning on having about 200 people at my wedding but only inviting kids of my bridal party. Is that going to offend people?

I agree with this! I think it's better to have all or none, because people will get hurt and offended if you don't invite theirs, but they see others.
We are having no kids!!

Re: What are you doing about kids?
This has been a hard thing for us! I fully intend on saying no kids with exception of my kids in the BP. I know I can have them because they are well behaved! I know my one cousin would like me to have her 2 kids in the wedding and I am definitely considering this. So, then I would have to include them in the wedding as well. I think they will be fine. However, I don't want another cousin's kids at the wedding because they are NOT well behaved at ALL. So, I'm hoping I don't offend anyone by saying BP kids only.
THEN, I will have my 2 first cousins who will be aged 4 and 6 at the time of my wedding who will have to be there because they will be traveling with their parents from Greece for the wedding! I can't say they can't come with that long of a trip. I just hope I don't hear from other people 'well, they aren't in the BP and they are at the wedding'.....

This is up in the air right now b/c we have a baby who will be 2 @ the wedding & hes definitely going but i dont agree with spending alot of $ for kids when all they eat is chicken fingers BUT we have alot of 1st cousin kids & OOT guests with kids that we want there...we want some kids to go but not all...so we have to make a decision on what to do...

We are having children attend but that is only b/c FH's fam would freak if we didn't! Some ppl are offended but IMO it is not rude - ppl have PLENTY of time to make arrangements. I will say that if you are planning on inviting the children of the BP and there are only like 3 other kids you should prob just invite them; but if there are a bunch more then no one should be offended! Re: What are you doing about kids?
we have decided on not inviting kids either. We really want people to enjoy themselves. My only concern is how to you make sure that people don't assume that their children are invited. I heard stories about people sending an RSVP including their children even though they were not on the invite or just showing up at the wedding with them. I am kinda worried about this, but not sure how to spread the word without offending people.

Re: What are you doing about kids?
We are only inviting first cousin kids, with the expection of my first cousin's daughter and son because the daughter is my flowergirl and her son is the flowergirl's escort since she'll only be 2 yrs old.
Did that make sense? Or others doing 'escorts' for their flowergirls or ring bearers?

I'm trying to figure out a way to have kids come to the ceremony, then to be set up with babysitting at the hotel. I guess we'll see. I understand both points of view though. Either way, it's a tough decision.

We are only having my 2 year old niece, since she is the flowergirl. Everyone else will be adults only.
